This is the ugliest, most boring, most dull, most bland, most basic and thickest UI I've ever seen. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
Display Blazer big size not good outside good all side good all manufacturer good but display bezel big size I am not like display
Still miles better than iPhone 17, the UI is as fast as you can get and Android stock ROM makes easy tweaking/root. It's honestly not an amazing upgrade for the price as it's still expensive but I'd take it hands down against competition if I wanted to upgrade.

"Still, if you want to unlock the phone while it's lying on a table, using the fingerprint reader won't be looking too elegant."
You can just unlock it with the left hand thumb from above? Or with the right hand index from above too? Like the natural way you would pick a phone on a table. The fp scanner can register any funger in any position really, just reguster it the way you will use it.
On the last song of the speaker tests, the 2 Xperia phones were the only ones to reproduce the 808 kick at 4:54. You could hear it slightly on the Galaxy. That is exceptionally impressive.
It seems that the front camera of the Xperia 1 VII is the same as the Xperia 1 VI which I currently own. The problem is that the lack of autofocus and a fixed too far focus point make me out the phone at around 28 centimetres from my face in order to appear not blurred, I found this horrible because older Sony Smartphones had a lower res front camera but at least you wouldn't feel stress to appear in focus! I wrote also on XDA of Xperia 1 VI a detailed thread with photo and rulers to show this behaviour. Don't get me wrong I like this phone and I'm generally happy with mine but this camera thing is just so silly and unexplainable in 2025. Is the only thing that I dislike.
really appreciate the review, thanks. Are you going to re run the battery test with the final release version of the phone? apparently the early phones sent out to reviewers had bugs which explains the lower battery score compared to the mk vi and the sub par camera performance.
Jsmith , 17 Jun 2025Damn, that's unfortunate to hear. My 1 IV has no audible noise floor even with sensitive IEMs It isn't excessive but it's audible. I can't afford it and it isn't available in the U.S., I want to flee anyway, but can anyone here comment on the "Walkman" sound of the VII, other than gold soldering?
I think there is no other brand that beats Sony accessories according to me but the only problem is the spare parts here in Uganda we suffer there is no way how you can repair your phone because there are no spare parts

Why is bro saying that the 7.1x night shots are not as good to say wow? It's literally the only phone (apart from the 1 vi) which have 7.1x optical zoom. Be surprised my friend, to me they look great. The only downside is that it's more overpriced than a pixel but it is all goods becuase I can just save up for it.
Margo, 05 Jun 20251 & 5 have diff amplifier circuits, 5 has a really weak amplifier Mine can power the decent headphones I use fine but there's a slight hissing sound, it sound a bit compressed even though I'm listening to lossless files.
Sony sucks when it comes to Playstation, but with Xperia? they're cooking real good.
I hope what I said doesn't age like crap
