Some major disappointments here:
1. Going from 18mm 1/1.5" ultrawide to a 13mm 1/2.88" ultrawide. That's a huge downgrade; I'm very certain the lens is worse (it's not a proper rectilinear and software corrections will make the corners even softer), and that's a 2-stop loss in sensor-size!
2. Bigger battery but worse battery life?
3. No e-sim in 2024, near-2025, why?
4. Small price hike; guess not unexpected, but still a bit sad.

The selfies are surprisingly good. Looks like UD selfie cameras are progressing quite well and ZTE are on their way to perfecting it.

Nubia build excellent phone but didn't got any update for the phone software. I think they only know to build the hardware not the software

I think u don't know how to take picture, I look at utube, z70 far more better than 16pro and s24 ultra. Plus, u didn't use focus physical and capture right?

Considering current gen flagships have released its earliest ever , and using new beta / early generation silicon carbon battery technology
Annnd higher costing chipsets with much bigger peak performance
I think it's just a matter of waiting for more maturity /patience
I believe at this end of the year quarter with the increase in soc cost OEMs probably couldn't get the best price ratios..my speculation
Maybe in 2025 camera spec etc upgrades become available/released from Sony etc

Almost all smartphone with 8 elite have downgraded camera system, show how much more expensive the chip is.

Then compare e50u vs iqoo 12 main cam smallest value, or z60u ultrawide vs v30 main cam smallest value, or z70u vs magic v3 main cam smallest value, they would do it even with much bigger sensors. You even commented on magic v3 review comments page, which has same main cam sensor as this phone here.

Really disappointing seeing the cameras essentially stagnate, or worse, the main despite being similar with the addition of variable aperture and it somehow takes worse detailed pictures? Telephoto looks to take alright close ups but is lacking otherwise, and the ultrawide goes from 1/1.5 to 1/2.9 size sensor and is borderline useless💀. Didn't they post on weibo some weird comment about other manufacturers downgrading their phones specs yet still calling them flagships yet their z70 ultra is a true flagship? How can you say that before releasing this hot mess? Like besides this somehow worse camera experience it also has worse battery life than its predecessor, seriously?
A month ago I thought it would probably be my go to phone to upgrade to because it'd be an improvement of the quirky z60, but now I think I'll just go with whichever is better between the oppo find x8 ultra and vivo x200 ultra when they release. Which isn't to say this being a disappointment is the only reason which has lead me to this decision but more so because I've learned that the advantage of a 35mm lens isn't that big when there's a 70 or 85mm telephoto and that 1 inch main cam is overall the best choice to go with.
