    Within a sea of generics Galaxy AXXs and Redmi/Xiaomi with their cheap-looking OS, this can only stand out, and in a good way.

    I can only point out the use of antique UFS 2.1 storage technology, something introduced 5 years ago which is decades in this industry. For a company supposedly paying extra attention to details, this is a glaring oversight.

        Anonymous, 14 Mar 2024Are you aware S24 has higher frequency than mi14? 50Hz more. By the way, mi 14 pro has 120... moreIt seems to me that you (and a few others as well) are confused by these numbers, since they're measured by the same unit of measurement (Hz). But, they each refer to different things.

        For eg: 60-90-120-144Hz etc refers to Screen Refresh Rates that improves perceived smoothness in animations and scrolling experience. Whereas, 240-480Hz etc refers to Touch Sampling Rates that reduces touch latency for an improved gameplay experience. Similarly, 1920-2160Hz etc refers to Pulse Width Modulation or Screen Flickering Rate where the higher frequency aids in reducing eye strains at lower screen brightness.

The 14 pro has the 1920hz pwm screen (also not samaung, nice to see TCL getting more orders in), you are right, got to be fair to samsung when sometbings true.

                    @Gsmarena, few questions/comments:

                    - when you compare phones, please include the same list of devices in different tests. Now i see A54 in display brightness comparison and battery endurance testing, but that phone isn't listed in performance tests.

                    - can we really believe those battery life results? It's awesome to see up to 50% more endurance towards any other phone on the market, but.... With such huge difference I'd consider something fishy really

                      Tbh it isnt a bad little device, saw the original nothing phone in store yesterday (2nd only ever nothing phone in the wild) and tbh it looks bulky and a bit awkward to use, the styling with the 2a looks a lot sleeker and uniformed might be the word. I wish they got rid of the apple look though and maybe just did a round cam island of lights or something.

                      Tbh in terms of overall performance and the overall package of the phone (i dont mean whats included in the box, only other chinese brands really get that right) its quite a good year already for devices, just be nice to see flagships drop in price a little bit..

                      Good review GSM, interesting little device and its got plenty of very good priced, good mid range device up against it (basically its a more exciting time for mid range buyers than really flagships at the mo imo).
