Tecno Android

Introduction

Tecno Camon 50 series is now complete with the announcement of the flagship cameraphone - the Camon 50 Ultra 5G. It builds on the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro with an all-around premium camera experience, a tougher build, and a faster chip with 5G.

The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G is a dual-curved smartphone with two Gorilla Glass panels, aiming to impress you right out of the bat. It relies on a smooth matte design with a two-tone back panel. The phone has all sorts of certifications - IP66, IP58, IP69, IP69K, and even MIL-STD-810 compliance.

The Camon 50 Ultra 5G packs a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 1208 x 2644 pixels, 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10 support. It runs on the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G chip with 12GB RAM.

The highlight of the Camon 50 Ultra is the camera kit. The rear side has a 50MP OIS Lytia 700C primary, a 50MP 3x OIS telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. The front camera is an update over the Camon 50 Pro - the Ultra adds a 50MP wide-angle selfie with autofocus. All three high-res cameras support 4K video capturing, up from 1440p on the Camon 50 and 50 Pro.

Tecno Camon 50 Ultra review

The Camon 50 Ultra is powered by a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging. The phone boots Android 16 with HiOS 16, and it has been promised three major updates.

The paper compartment packs a glass screen protector you can apply by yourself, and a cool plastic case matching the back's color and design, but adding an extra touch with a leather-like part with CAMON letters.
