Price hikes are the name of the game these days in the mobile world, thanks to memory and storage chips costing many times more than a few years ago because of AI data center demand. Even knowing all that, today's leaked European prices for the Oppo Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max are still rather shocking.
The caveat here is obvious - this is a rumor. Hopefully a wrong one. Anyway, according to a new report, the Find X10 will cost €1,399 with 256GB of storage and €1,599 with 512GB, while the Find X10 Pro Max will be offered in a single version with 512GB of storage for €1,799.
For reference, note that last year, the Find X9 launched in Europe priced at €999 and the Find X9 Pro was going for €1,299, both with 512GB of storage. So if we consider the Find X10 the successor to the Find X9, and compare the same amount of storage, that's a 60% price hike, while the Find X10 Pro Max is "just" 38% more expensive than the Find X9 Pro.
It's still unclear exactly when Oppo plans on launching its latest flagship smartphone in Europe, but the company has already started taking blind pre-orders in the UK, which come with a bunch of perks and, thankfully, even some discounts.
