OnePlus Android

Following the launch of the OnePlus Ace 6 and Ace 6T last year, the company will soon launch the ultimate model in the series, which is called the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, of course. Over the last few days, OnePlus execs have been busy teasing the design and features.

This is a sequel to the Ace 5 Ultra from last year. It features the currently popular OnePlus design with the squircle camera island in the top-left corner of the back, a design it shares with the other Ace 6 models.

The Oppo online store in China already has a “OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is coming soon” page. You can pay a nominal sum of CNY 0.01 and reserve a spot in the queue and secure CNY 426 worth of goodies – those include a 20W Oppo power bank, plus a 2-year battery warranty and a year of extended warranty for the phone itself.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra was shown off by none other than the President of OnePlus China, Li Jie, just yesterday. Today brings more standard marketing shots that focus on the “Ace Awakening” color scheme.

It’s a combination of dark tones with 3D etching that creates the Ace branding. The company did reveal a few interesting details about the interior of the phone too.

The metal frame will have heat insulation – wait, aren’t you supposed to push heat out and not keep it in? The goal here is to guide the heat away from the user’s hands (which will be holding the conductive metal frame) to increase user comfort. Heat will likely be dumped through the screen and back.

Most details haven’t been officially confirmed yet, but we’ve heard that the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will have a Dimensity 9500 chipset, a 6.8” 165Hz display (BOE) and a massive 8,500mAh battery with 100W charging. For comparison, the Ace 5 Ultra had a 144Hz display, Dimensity 9400+ chipset and a 6,700mAh battery. The Ace 6 and Ace 6T feature Qualcomm chips instead – a Snapdragon 8 Elite and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 – plus 7,800mAh and 8,300mAh batteries, respectively.

The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will be fully unveiled soon, likely by the end of the month, but we don’t know the exact date yet.

You don't get thermodynamics, my bro. If the frame is hot all the time and you take that heat from the phones with your hands, how is that not working. Another thing is, making the front and back of the phone take the heat is same thing - you ...
