Samsung Android Announcement

Without much fanfare, Samsung launched the Galaxy A07. This model deserved better than such a quiet launch as it brings several important upgrades that will extend the longevity compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A06.

The Samsung Galaxy A07 is powered by the Helio G99, which may be old, but it is a major improvement over the 12nm G85 that was in last year’s model. This chip is fabbed on a newer 6nm node and features a newer architecture with Cortex-A76 CPU cores and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU (vs. A55 and G52).

Even better, the A07 launches with Android 15/One UI 7 and will be supported with 6 OS updates – that’s a lot more than the A06, which is only getting 2 OS updates. Also, the new model has basic ingress protection with an IP54 rating (water splashes).

The 6.7” LCD upgrades to 90Hz refresh rate, but the more important spec, resolution, remains the same at 720p+. Also, this panel has a notch for the camera. Neither of these things is unexpected from an entry-level model. This camera has an 8MP sensor and an f/2.0 aperture, by the way.

On the back there is a 50MP main camera (f/1.8) and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera is capable of 1080p @ 30fps video recording.

The Galaxy A07 is a dual-SIM 4G phone with a dedicated spot for a microSD card. And yes, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack too. Other connectivity includes Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.3 and a USB-C 2.0 port.

That port can charge the 5,000mAh battery at 25W. The phone measures 167.4 x 77.4 x 7.6mm and weighs 184g.

The Samsung Galaxy A07 was announced in Indonesia. According to the press release, it will be available in configurations ranging from 4/64GB to 8/256GB (check the prices below). We also found the 4/128GB variant on Samsung Ukraine for UAH 4,700 ($115/€100). The version in Indonesia is a bit cheaper (IDR 1,400,000 converts to $85/€75), but that’s likely due to different local taxes.

Samsung Galaxy A07
4/64GB IDR 1,400,000
4/128GB IDR 1,650,000
6/128GB IDR 1,950,000
8/256GB IDR 2,300,000

P.S. there's no sight of a Galaxy A07 5G yet.

I highly doubt that. the world should have improved to a level where current flagship will be seen as low end or mid range. its even possible that a 'phone' will be outdated. they'll be like "you're using a phone in 2099? bru...

After checking nanoreview, i found that the helio g99 is only compatible with ufs 2.2, no emmc 5.1 or ufs 2.1. but it's actually weird to think that a 6nm chip runs on emmc storage
