Motorola Android

Motorola saw what Poco (and, before it, Redmi in China) did with Bose, and thought it wanted some of that co-branded audio action too. But it also stepped it up - all the way up to Bang & Olufsen's level.

Motorola has entered into a multi-year partnership with the audio company, and as its teaser from yesterday showed us, the first smartphone to come with a B&O badge will be the Signature 27, which is expected to become official in just a few hours.

Exceptional design. Exceptional sound.
Motorola and @BangOlufsen are proud to announce a new global partnership, bringing Audio by Bang & Olufsen to Motorola’s premium device portfolio.

The official press release says that Motorola and B&O "have partnered around a shared belief that technology should deliver exceptional performance while being thoughtfully designed". The brands promise to "create experiences in which sound is not simply a feature, but an intentional and integral part of the product experience".

The Signature 27 will have audio tuned by B&O's acoustic engineers, and the integration will "deepen across audio technologies, sound modes, new user experiences and an expanded ecosystem for future launches", whatever that means. Motorola says this partnership reinforces its lifestyle-tech chops.

The company wants to be "naturally connected to the way people live, express themselves and experience the world", while building "a premium ecosystem that feels more personal, expressive, and relevant to consumers' everyday lives".

Kind of refreshing to see Motorola doesn't always follow the trends from other brands. They kind of do their own thing in terms of design. It's a small brand but i hope they can survive in yhe smartphone market as they offer some variety
