Sony is set to add a new member to its Xperia lineup next week. The brand announced a new Xperia launch set for Tuesday, August 25. The event will be livestreamed on YouTube and is set to begin at 11AM Japan time, which corresponds to 4 AM CEST on August 26 in Europe.
Sony didn’t explicitly mention the device in question but according to recent leaks, it should be the Xperia 10 VIII (MK8). Last year’s Xperia 10 VII (MK7) launched in September, which would make the Xperia 10 VIII launch nearly a month early. According to a recent Geekbench run, the MK8 will feature the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset as its predecessor.
