Motorola unveiled the Moto G Stylus (2026) at the beginning of April, and the phone went on sale earlier this week. So we're right on schedule to bring you a quick unboxing before we're off to review the phone.

The Moto G Stylus (2026) is up for grabs on Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorola.com and costs $500. It ships with a USB cable and nothing more.

That means you'd need to supply your own case and 68W charger. On the plus side, the phone has a pretty back panel that you don't need to cover up because Moto ensures the phone can handle some bumps and bruises, and it feels nicer with its textured finish than any basic silicone case ever could.

What makes the Moto G Stylus (2026) interesting is right there in the name - the stylus. The pen is built into the phone much like on a Galaxy S26 Ultra. Also like the Galaxy, the stylus here has a button to engage its special menu, and has a clicky button on the other end to engage your OCD.

Writing on the screen is effortless. Yes, it's digital, but it's snappy, and it can genuinely improve multitasking.

And while the stylus is great, it's not inherently better than the one on the Moto G Stylus (2025). In fact, very little has changed between the two phones. This year's model adds an IP69 rating to the IP68, faster UFS 3.1 (vs 2.2), and 200mAh to the 5,000mAh battery.

The rest of the phone is the same - same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, same 8GB of RAM, same 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED, and the same 50MP wide-angle, 13MP ultrawide, and 32MP selfie shooter.

But that's no bad thing, as the old model is now cheaper! Anyway, that's all the time we've got with the Moto G Stylus (2026) for now. Stay tuned for the full review!

for real? not just a mistake made by a journalist guessing or a lie by a bootleg reseller? Makes me want to import and unlock one if so... in canada we only have the 128GB 8GB ram option, can't even get the RAM upgrade
