just like that ..... there is nothing nerdiness about that

This is applicable for very minor tech nerds. People expect to see everything works out of the box. That's the reason why huawei's market share never improves and limited to 2-3% for the last 8 years in every country they are in.

DarlingYext, 21 hours agoThat camera module is typical Huawei Mate series design, nothing copied there, and the whole f... moreThe selfie camera on the original XT was there because it was the selfie camera on the outer screen (which are usually centered these days). It was actually sort of clever because they only had to use one selfie camera for the whole device (folded and unfolded). There is no reason to put it in the same spot for an inward tri folder.

a system that give you a virtual machine (a sandbox) to operate and run the apk apps .... and it works fine with no problem
so where is the nerdiness in this thing

so yah its like mac running windows in virtual machine, like windows running macs in virtual machine.
infact this is more more lighter than those two
it didnt run a whole androidOS it runs a fraction of it to operate those apps as i said before inside a "SANDBOX" which as we knew from old days it will not harm your original OS

from version 5 harmonyos is a separate project.... the connection between it and android is just running android apps via sandboxes
and i didn't any problems in that, unless the app developers visions are vague then yah you are right that's why their vaguness stopped their app from working properly

The China version for sure will run on Ha... moreEven China users spit on the latest Harmony-Android Hybrid OS, although they claimed it's Full Blood Harmony another time again, as it was still half cooked hydrid OS with many popular apps couldn't run, or apps long time features on iOS/Android phones still not available.

Not sure about the processor, 9050, if it's enough for multitasking and smooth experience, but the battery seems to be on the low side for a triple-screen device? Cameras any good? Is Gmail still installable on this phone?

Looks like Samsung was right in their tri fold form factor , as now even Huawei has joined them and hidden their inner screen. For good reason too as the inner screen it very fragile. Love the purple colour, haven't seen such a bold colour for a long time

this huawei mate xt 2 looks even more durable than
the huawei mate x7 and the huawei honor magic v6

i am looking for ward to similar back design on the
huawei p120 ultra or the huawei p130 ultra in year
2029 or 2030 and hopefully there will be an ip66 +
ip68 + ip69 + ip69k and a newer ip rating migh tier
than all previous ip ratings combined also a newer
20to30x periscope telephoto cap able of taking pic
+recording videos with 200-300x total digital zoom

Purple is beautifull, White is decent and nothing interesting about black,
2TB option plus Stylus is awesome.
Well done Huawei.
Hope this gets global release.
Cant wait to see some of them at our stores in Slovakia.

However while I do agree that the inner camera placement is horrible, and there shouldn't even be a camera on the inner display anyways, the original Mate XT and XTs had a camera in that exact same spot.
