the FE variant started off from the failure of galaxy note 7. fan edition suppose to focus on what the fans wanted, not another design by samsung. At that time it was mainly related to the memory card slot, common camera of their choice which is the telephoto, a smaller dimension footprint of the phone and a headphone jack. None of those existed for a long time now. So whats the point of a FE model? Might just get the S series when the prices drop. Its becoming a trend to purchase last years S series + version for quite some time now. SE models suppose to be unique in its own way perhaps a different design as well, not a downgraded crap from samsung with chipset replacements.
Anonymous, 23 hours agoWhy does this model really exist? With no major upgrades? the only realy upgrade is its name 2... moreSame reason why there are thousands of Xiaomi models. 2x T series, 2x K series, Poco F series 3x models, Poco X series 3 models, Poco M series 3 models, redmi 5x models, redmi note 6x models. Flagship models 4 + 1 Xring.
All to sell them overpriced and make an excuse: ram and storage are costing
If ram and nvme had real price hike, they would release HALF the amount of models or only few of them. Same as Pixels or Apple.
NO! S24 FE is my last FE phone. It's more A-series with flagship SoC than S-series essentials.
FE fans probably don't want to hear this, but FE variant has already lost the plot since the 2nd iteration~ Not sure what so Fan Edition about this...
Why does this model really exist? With no major upgrades? the only realy upgrade is its name 25FE to 26FE
Probably this is the last FE phone.
The most ridiculous thing: Since samsung started using usb-c in the s series, the S26FE is the first s series to not support USB3.1 or newer. It uses USB2.0 so you cannot use DEX using a wired connection. This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The 9 year old S8 has a faster wired connection than this garbage
No. USB2.0? Screw you Samsung. This is not an S series, this is a glorified A series.
Grab the S25 FE while you can.
Of course not. My s24 plus works fine. No need to upgrade until s28 series.
Not at full price
Even given for half price or 1/10 of price is overpriced and dated.
I am not interested with a phone with million betas before stable version and with dated specs for a flagship price.
At 700 bucks i can have brand new S26 plus or S26 Ultra at 950.
Motorola signature in Slovakia is already simmilar price and thats a true flagship device this thing is on par with A37 which cost 250 here in Slovakia.
What's the point of Samsung even bothering to use Si/C Li-Ion battery if there not going to use a much larger battery capacity in there smartphones?
I think It is the Wrost S26 of their series...
gvs, 30 Aug 2026Absolutely! Don't know why they even continued the series... They could have just discoun... moreEasy answer: marketing. To remain relevant in the mind of the people.
I tried the S25 plus and the A57, both gave me eye strain despite eye comfort shield, night theme etc. till Samsung will take care of this issue, I'm staying away from their devices. health comes first.
Technically, on a monitor or a TV, wired DeX cannot run on USB 2.0; it requires at least USB 3.0. In this price range, the S25 FE was the only smartphone to offer wired DisplayPort Direct mode.
Anonymous, 30 Aug 2026The only FE model that made sense was S20 FE, rest are just downgraded expensive cashgrabsThe S20 FE, A52s, and A22 4G were some of the best value, most influential Samsung phones of all time, especially if you look at modern Samsung. However, my parents upgraded from the A52s to an Honor 600 as I encouraged them not to buy another Samsung. I have an A34 but plan to get an Oppo flagship if I have the money in 2-3 years.
