potato4k, 26 Aug 2026Yup, and I wonder why…Me too.
But lets see maybe it wont be that bad.
Any creation which makes the difference in world of same phones with just different HW and SW could be a plus.
Can imagine that some people will buy just because its something new and canuse that as a attraction to others.
Like when people buy new Lambo just to attract oother people.

potato4k, 23 Aug 2026Moving parts on a mobile device like a smartphone is not a wise idea.We had Motorized selfie camera pop up on 5 phones tottal on several brands then we had Samsung A80 noone of them had succesor to today or next follower in line.
Anonymous, 24 Aug 2026Whith these prices? Of course not. If it was free? Absolutely. In order to stabilize the price the good thing we have to do is to pray for the RAM crisis is over immediately. This leaves one issue. God may not answer quickly. In this circumtance I hope everybody has a good patience until God responds. Let say God response is in the next year, like I said early it is not bad to be more patience. For the free case the chance is really small but not for a lucky person.

And as user, we just need to use the phone wisely to save the battery.
I wouldn't spend money on something this fragile and stupid looking ... all this needs is a foldable design to make it as worst as possible...
Sticking with my Magic8 pro
I don't think the price is unreasonable, but I'm not looking for that capability, and don't want to spend that much on something with basically no ecosystem besides "you can vlog slightly more conveniently, if you don't care about your phone battery life"

What I found to be a problem but not a real one is battery consumption. How much does the power required to operate the robot? If the robot structure made of light material it wouldn't be a problem. Otherwise it could drain the batt quickly when we use it frequently.
The technology is incredibly cool, but this device is incredibly expensive. If I had endless money, I would definitely buy it.

If you agree this model is flagship then there is no reason to put low to medium hardwares in it. Specifically for the camera where Honor worked perfectly to make robot style for the camera that generates the desire to know this model closely by experiencing it personally. There is also another common indication to know a flagship device. It is through the price.
Most definitely I'm not going to buy it. But in the same time I'm glad that it came out. Finally to some serious innovation in the smartphone world. In the past few years all i see is a new processor, or a new camera module. Really miss the times when smartphone companies were investing in similar "innovations", like 3D camera or display, finger HR monitoring, IR blaster, sliding parts etc... Hope we will see more ambitious projects like this one in future!
The idea is interesting, I'd love to have a very good camera in the phone but the SIZE of that thing? Thanks, I'll pass. If I want the best pocket-able (kinda) camera with very high quality, I'd rather buy RX100 or something similar, bigger photo sensor, bigger optics, better bokeh, actual zoom lens.
Oh, and it would cost less than this phone. So I can buy, say, rx100 V or something and a separate mid-range phone. Or a camera and a gimbal, if I ever need one. Will probably cost less, too.

Am I different when saying I like this one? Surely not. But I won't hold my self for buying this model. The robot style although only for the specific camera is too attractive to ignore when I have enough money. The safety factor isn't bad. The owner of foldable phone should have no issue with it. Their experience to manage a bit vulnerable phone should work.
No I wouldn't. For the same reason I wouldn't buy a foldable phone: I don't want moving parts in my phone. A button is fine, but nothing more.
