Mediatek started out as a cheap manufacturer, became an improved premium level one like Qualcomm. And with this naming scheme, they just gotten cheap again. Just use "Ultra", "Ultimate", or whatever lol

When your naming scheme runs out of ideas, just borrow Apple’s dictionary. 😏

They should have just stick with the 9600s, 9600, and 9600+ naming schemes or something like 9600s, 9600, and 9650 to retain technical sense rather than these slop names.

Don't get me wrong, MediaTek makes some good chips. How many chips are in stock and collecting dust?

Jemek, 27 Jul 2026What is so Apple-inspired about it? Nice clickbait.Dimensity 9600 Pro and Dimensity 9600 Pro Max. Clearly ripped from the iPhone's naming similarly to what Xiaomi did.

If Apple uses a different naming scheme, I guarantee these companies will follow suit.

I hate this naming nonsense. Whoever is doing the marketing for both Qualcomm and MediaTek are doing a poor job.
