Anybody that uses the T-Mobile network should not get the Watch Ultra2 because T-Mobile is dismantling there 4G LTE network and the Watch Ultra2 has no 5G modem but a 4G LTE modem only just like the Watch Ultra 2025 and Watch Ultra 2024. Eventually you will need to switch to Verizon or AT&T just to keep using the Watch Ultra2 after T-Mobile completes there 4G LTE shutdown.

I also would like to use the LTE so I can forget my Fold 7 at home when I go for a stroll, but until they make use of phone's Wi-Fi calling a possibility I will not use the LTE feature.
I would like my phone to be at home connected to both Wi-Fi and a carrier and then redirect a phone call to my LTE smartwatch (on a different, much cheaper eSIM carrier) when I'm far away somewhere exercising or something.

MRA, 26 Jul 2026Good, but pricey. This will cost 500 bucks in 3 months. Never buy Samsung products the first 3 months after launch.

After using both SA 5G and 4G LTE on the S26 Ultra that I can say this about battery run time between the two. Is that the 5,000 mAh battery runs a whole lot longer on a single charge connected to 4G LTE than 5G does over the T-Mobile network. Maybe this why Samsung didn't put a 5G modem in the Watch Ultra2 and just stuck with an 4G LTE modem. Or was there some other reason for not going with a 5G modem?

They should have released a classic version, but... these days, everything has to look like Apple products, or else they won't sell.

I'm on T-Mobile and I'm not going to buy the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 because T-Mobile is shutting down there 4G LTE network and the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 only has 4G LTE compatibility built-in so I guess I'll just stick with my 4G LTE Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025.

It's worth noting that Samsung quotes the same 60 hours of battery life for the first Ultra, which itself was a downgrade in battery life from the Watch5 Pro despite both being 590mAh.

It seems as though the entire 35% increase has sadly been taken up by either the new chipset, the brighter screen, the more in depth tracking, or all three.
