But only Samsung's marketing can outdo this level of absurdity. On the German market, the Ultra2 version is still not actually waterproof. According to the German product description, it's rated to 10 ATM, but only in a column of distilled water. So it's not suitable for diving or riding a jet ski. 😉

Below is the English translation of the terms of use from Samsung's German website.

----------------------------------------
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 meets the following protection criteria:
10 ATM: Offers water resistance up to 10 ATM according to ISO standard 22810. Not suitable for activities such as scuba diving, water skiing, similar high-speed water activities, or activities in deep water. IP68: Protection against continuous immersion in 1.5 m of water for 30 minutes (fresh water only). No protection against salt water, water containing chemical additives (e.g., chlorinated pool water, soapy water, alcohol-based solutions), or heated liquids. All covers must be fully closed and sealed against the device at all times to prevent water ingress. IP69K: Protection against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets (up to 100 bar) or hot water (up to 80°C). However, this protection is not permanent and may diminish over time due to normal wear and tear.
DIN EN 13319: Complies with the DIN EN 13319 standard, which applies to instruments that measure water depth based on ambient pressure (as used by divers) and, under certain conditions, dive time. However, water resistance is not permanent and may diminish over time due to normal wear and tear. After contact with seawater, the watch should be rinsed with fresh water and then dried.
MIL-STD-810H: Certified to MIL-STD-810H standards regarding high/low temperatures, low air pressure at high altitudes, humidity, immersion, salt fog, dust, vibration, drops, etc. MIL-STD-810H is a US military technical standard specifying environmental test conditions for military equipment. Actual usage may vary depending on the specific environmental conditions present during testing. Operation under extreme conditions is not guaranteed.

The battery life of these will heavily depend on whether WearOS ends up supporting the coprocessor in the new silicon or not, because if it does all the pieces are there for even the base two to have pretty good battery life and the Ultra could last a full week.

Other than that there's of course the design issue (it's just bad).

I like the Ultra 2. It’s a shame there won’t be a Classic version, but you could use this one for everyday wear and the 6 Classic for when you want to look a bit more elegant.
