This is what I was trying to make.
"the biggest K-Pop bands out there even well known in the western world"
Not the opther way around.
"hiring a lesser known band or someone like Psy that lost the interest if the western audience"
samsung is desparete for sale figures. Hence they are now using BTS for western audience.
By audience I mean not just the western BTS fans, but the whole western market.
"As the article states, they've worked with BTS multiple times before."
In Asia, we see this.
As well as BlackPink, SEVENTEEN, etc.
You can say this is normal to us Asians.
But in the west, outside of the k-pop fan base, most only recognize the biggest k-pop artists.
They don't know the lesser ones unless covered by mainstream media.
That's why the "desperate".
Desperate for attention for sales.
But as mentioned in the previous post, the problem is the phone spec downgrade, the price, the participation on the artificial RAM shortage.
Why samsung is now bringing the "big guns (biggest, most popular k-pop artists for ad promotion)" rather than fix the problem and the "elephant in the room (intentional RAM shortage)".

For those who don't know BTS, they just performed at the World Cup final half-time show.
samsung, is that you?
I mean hiring k-pop artist to do promotions is one thing.
But hiring BTS to promote your phones, man you must be really desperate for sales.
Seeming that your mobile division is not doing well in Q2.

Why not, oh I don't know;
1. Stop participating in the intentional RAM shortage.
High cost is definitely scaring your customers off to your competitors.
It does not help that you also downgrade your phone's spec, while at the same time, increase the price of the phone.
2. Stop copying apple.
8 years of copying someone else homework shows poor results.
Mocking apple is better than copying them.
Besides, why buy a wannabe phone when there is the OG phone.
3. Bring back the headphone jack (3.5mm phat or 2.5mm on slim phones) and SD card.
Even if not the flagship models (S2x Ultra, S2x Plus, and A5x), at least the base models (S2x "Base Model", A3x, A2x, and A1x)
4. Take corporate responsibility.
Your customers does not owe you for every incompetent mistakes you make.
Hek, the market does not owe you for every incompetent mistakes you make.
5. Who is your market.
Customer want vs corporate need.
The investors ain't gonna buy that 5,000+ phones every year that "investors want" incorporated into your phones, while you are not giving what the "customer needs" are leaving your brand and buying your competitor's product.
Common sense.
6. 2 year release cycle.
6 years of the same phone, some even downgraded specs, show no progress in innovation.
Why not just release new models once every 2 years.
Or alternate release cycle (S, A5x, & A2x on odd years and Z, 3x, A1x & A0x on even years).
that's not J-Hope...that's Taeyang from Big Bang
Bussilum.UL, 19 Jul 2026i know sammy gave it to him he is an kpop artist, he uses an iphoneHow else would he get it? It's not for sale right now
TechNerd 04, 19 Jul 2026Most of celebs and sportsmen are uneducated to use a better and more advanced phones lol.And ironically, Apple provides devices free of charge for those people. It makes up for a significant portion of their marketing budget.
I hope there isn't another k-pop artist at 850 Broadway this year. If I showed up any earlier, I probably would not have gotten into the store.
I just want to get in, look at both phones thoroughly, try my best to be courteous to reps that don't generally know much about the phones and get out.
