DarlingYext, 17 Jul 2026So the global Note 17 Pro 5G isn't simply a worse device than the global Note 15 Pro 5G, ... moreDidn't read the only 64GB of storage, most of which will be eaten by the OS and all the bloatware and what is not will eventually be so by updating system apps as I doubt they will be streamlined to occupy far less space.
This generation is one to pass on. It's even worse than during 2021, when the Note 11 series was released.

If anything, the only salvageable feature will be the battery as one can't have high hopes on the Soc and even the camera with that tiny sensor in the Chinese version.
Anonymous, 17 Jul 2026Did I miss the announcement for the Note 16 series? Why do they go straight from 15 to 17Same way they jumped the Xiaomi flagship
Best phone for gaming
why the hell pro is only 6.80'' screen and non pro 7'' why chinese making everything wrong way round ????????
4/64 ... Hahahah havent heard that since 2018 ok budget devices. Xiaomi, moving backwards each year.
Both my redmi 10 and redmi note 10 were better than this, wth 4gb ram, lol Xiaomi probably have dimentia and think this is year 2016
Redmi Note 8 pro was last RN xx Pro with 4/64 memory option. SEVEN YEARS AGO! There should be some progress YoY, but Xiaomi is going Uno reverse with Redmi Note series, trying to make it worse than Redmi xx series. In a few years they will be worse than Redmi Ax series...
sayabosanhidup, 17 Jul 2026still waiting for news on the xiao mi redmi note

4GB of ram and 64GB of storage? Oh yeah, youβd have only 15GB of free space left π€£π
Rosso, 17 Jul 2026Hey, remember when in 2019 that got you an aluminium frame, glass back, pop up camera, 6/128GB... moreBecause ijoots like Sam Altman and LLMs were not yet mainstream during those times. And no companies were hogging consumer production lines for their HBM crap.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2026Did I miss the announcement for the Note 16 series? Why do they go straight from 15 to 17They want to match with Apple I guess cus dey already have Xiaomi 17 Pro max
I advised against buying anything made this year. If you need a smartphone then quickly go grab one from last year models that are still available in stocks.
Buying this year is absolutely crazy as you will end up overpaying for them
how dare you 4/64 in big 26
Dimensity 7100 detected!
Rosso, 17 Jul 2026Hey, remember when in 2019 that got you an aluminium frame, glass back, pop up camera, 6/128GB... moreThat's wild. I didn't even read the comments before posting, and I also compared it to a 2019 model. I had both the Note 8 & 9 Pro, and they both make this phone look like it has dementia or something. And they probably all cost the same.
Is a modern day phone even operational with just 4GB of RAM? I know Redmi is budget... But 4/64? Really? My Note 8 Pro had more memory than that seven years ago. It was also budget. The AI boom means only near flagship level devices will actually come with acceptable memory. And that's just unacceptable.
Anonymous, 17 Jul 20264+64 GB RAM in a 2026 βProβ model that will probably exceed β¬300? No thanks.Hey, remember when in 2019 that got you an aluminium frame, glass back, pop up camera, 6/128GB, to of the line midrange SoC, near flagship quality screen and a telephoto camera and near flagship grade main camera with a competent ultrawide to boot?
Mi 9T was the GOAT of midrangers, things have been going downhill since then.
