80085, 14 Jul 2026I wish the world had atleast one project Ara style phone.Fairphone phones come close to such molecularity but not as Ara was intended. For the rest I'm sad that HMD doesn't succeed in making good phones. I used to be a fan but those days are gone. All the models in their portfolio are already outdated.

Though I wish that modular phones can be successful.
To an extent, I wish that there is a "framework" phone and tablet (build your own device).
Your own SoC (Qualcomm [Snapdragon 8, 7, 6, 4 series], or Mediatek [Dimensity 9xxx, 8xxx, 7xxx, 6xxx series], or "others")
Your own screen size (4.7", 5.6", 6.5" for phones and 7", 10", 12" and 15" for tablets).
Your own periphery (3.5 mm or 2.5 mm or none, mini or micro SD card or none, USB-C or HDMI-D[?] or Lightning).

The appearance of the phone is indeed good, but the screen resolution of 720P is too low. It needs to be at least 1080P.If the screen uses an LCD with 1080 resolution, the battery is 7000 mAh, and the processor performance is slightly higher, then this phone should be a big seller.

The Ivalo XE has Fusion connectivity, but an upgraded version with USB 3.1, and quite recently they showcased new Tactical Outfits for it so I guess it's not Quite true.
Who knows if the third phone by HMD Secure will have Fusion though.

80085, 14 Jul 2026I wish the world had atleast one project Ara style phone.The problem is that the masses want what the companies have got them addicted to. Now they all want the same thing and it’s easier to manufacture them.
That’s why smaller phones, headphone jack & wired earphones, sd card slots, FM radio, good keypad phones, and notch-less displays are all gone. That’s why all new phones look exactly the same and the only things that change are the camera layout and the back’s material. That’s why all companies make the same change at the same time, it’s almost like they sit together and decide to put the cameras in a large island, for example, or make a wide foldable. It’s sheep culture going on.
Any person asking for any of the above mentioned things, or even missing them, is cornered and mocked.
It’s a sad state for phones.
