I'm not talking about the small brands (but hey, I've tried those too 😉), I'm talking about the major Chinese brands. I hit it exactly where it hurts because I've tried many and it's always been like that for years. A criticism that you would agree and be aware of if you actually used these phones.
There's a good reason why nobody uses these phones when they have other options. Even the sponsored YouTube reviewers or the people who run these phone websites never stick with these Chinese phones despite getting them for free. I wonder why? 🤭
You can sit here and make excuses, that's what they have been doing for a decade with nothing to show for it. These excuses sound as hollow as their promises for software support. Unfortunately for you, it doesn't change the reality. 🤗

MartyMcfly88, 08 Jul 2026Are you 12?They would much rather support phones from China that have ads built in to their software or a terrible software experience overall. They advertise years of software support but you only get like two updates in a year (if you're lucky) before the next model comes out. The company immediately forgets anything but the new model even exists, followed by a quick security update at the end of the 5th year to make it look like they were keeping up all along. I am never falling for that BS ever again.
They rather hate on the Pixel lineup that receive consistent software updates and optimization every single month for 7 years straight (including adding new features). The Pixel lineup are the only ones in the industry that mean it when it comes to software support.

Only way for Google to make their Pixel-line attractive would be GrapheneOS installed out of the box
With them locking Android down in the next couple weeks/months, thats not gonna happen
