Hmm.. S30+ gets a lot of love, but it's really not in the same league as S40.
Doesn't look like a bad device, but the design with having the letters 'Ai' in the middle there is.. not really my thing.
sebstin, 03 Jul 2026Are we in year 2026? or 2005? Internal storage:128 MB3 MicroSD card support up to:32 GB4 ... more i mean it is a feature phone so dont expect a lot
Who is this for?!
People are waiting for a touch pad big screen phone, without internet, without removable storage, without camera, no bluetooth etc. such phones will be high demand in organisations where high level of security and privacy is required like defence forces, IPR companies etc. such phones will provide a rich experience of sending and receiving messages, radio listening etc. UPI is anyway available in feature phones.
hmd needs to launch whatsapp phone, all communication now a days happens on whatsapp, so whatsapp phone in less price,

And I'm several succesfull bussiness owner, so managers and some biger clients contact me quite often
Just stupid.
I wouldn't mind on-device speech-to-text model (considering form factor) but that would be the limit...
Eagerly awaiting Nokia 210 4G feature phone white in colour. If Nokia 235 4G 2nd generation will be available in white, I will prefer it. At present I am having Nokia 6300 metallic of 2004 model, at that time it's price was rupees ten thousand plus.
A feature phone that’s a wannabe smartphone on the inside is not the way to go. Those of us who want a basic phone don’t want Cloud Apps and definitely not AI (or worse, with a dedicated button right in the middle).
On the contrary, essential features like a reliable web browser, a chat app (WhatsApp, Signal, Threema preferably), maps, a decent camera, a decent music/video player, a file explorer, some online payment option, and a solid build quality are either not present or poorly implemented.
Why is it so difficult to make those Nokia Symbian-style phones? Or even the Samsung and Sony Ericsson ones from the 2000s? This is beyond me!
Kohai, 04 Jul 2026Without a doubt, feature phones have their place on the market... as feature phones. All point... moreThey've blown it yet again! Just get a Nokia style phone and stick access to WhatsApp, maps, contactless payment options etc and they will sell huge due numbers.

5... moreWithout a doubt, feature phones have their place on the market... as feature phones. All points are valid.
Though it is enough just to add AI to color it all brown.
1.Affordability? AI = initial price + few hundreds $ + subsribtion plan.
2. AI is potentially highly digitally toxic.
3. Elderly people hardly recognize any "innovations", AI button is to perfectly confuse them.
4. Battery life. Likely, AI service will demand continuous internet connection which in place will diminish overall time without a charge.
5. AI is a privacy nightmare.
6. AI and ads are usually inseparable. It will probably to push its way through notifications.

There is hardly any place for "AI" in legacy devices.

now i want a featured phone to cover my basic needs.. call/sms/nfc payments.. i do not need ai.. but i think their gist here is replace android with ai that does your stuff without the need to go through apps
Great to see 4G connectivity and USB-C charging across all models. But dedicated AI button? I'm not sure most people would care about it.
it makes no sense. why have a button that launches an AI assistant built-in on a phone that's gonna be used by the elderly/for digital detox?
the target audience for this doesn't exist. who would want AI on a feature phone, it's just... it's plain stupid
These phones have no value until they can support WhatsApp.
And the AI feature only further decreases their value.
