I seriously thought we were going in the opposite direction like RAM was getting cheaper as Sora was shutting down but I guess not. My brother says it's a really unfortunate time for steam to drop the Steam Machine but that doesn't change the fact pricing could be cheaper. Nintendo is losing nearly $200 a console and their people still complain which is sad but I never had an issue with it. I wonder why their games are $80. Probably to make up for console sales. GTA 6 is supposed to cost $80 and my brother said he'd definitely pay that price. For what? Valve has no cost to make up for selling the game and "10 year development" isn't an excuse as other titles have done so for cheaper or free. Gamers can be a fickle breed sometimes.
I have my own gripes with titles like GTA as I'll chose an indie title long before the same slop I feel companies like Rockstar drop. Theyve been hanging into this same GTA idea that happened to sell well for their first game for 6 other games. Honestly any company who does that I don't care for tbh except MarioKart and a few other titles such as Kingdom Hearts. But Kingdom hearts each title is a new adventure not the same repetitive objective or theme. GTA feels old (much like Sims series) and has no interesting story that other games don't have. Mechanics aren't anything special the only real thrill is the graphic changes for each game. But that's just me I'd rather support the indie game devs scraping and clawing to get recognition but actually are putting in the effort to release banger games. And not just because they're a worker drone at a huge triple A titles company; because they want to tell their story and share their experiences whether that be through game plot or mechanics; similar to how Apple TV did "El Deafo" which is a title I recommend people watch. It was so cool how they did the audio to match what the main character actually heard. (I think she was going deaf or could barely hear so they mufled the audio until she used a special hearing aid in the show. The audio work was very stellar.)

Just buy a fitness tracker. Problem solved for cheap.

at the moment, smart rings are still not able to keep up with smart watches in health metric readings. these rings should be as good as or better in terms of accuracy. it doesn't make sense to pay more than smart watches to get less of everything.

Nah, the battery will get trashed in less than 2 years and you will pay to get a new one, and you will also pay for a separate subscription to access health data

I think Steam Deck pricing is atrocious and so is the Xbox Game Pass (Just saw they hiked prices AGAIN) and Apple price hikes. The only price hike I can really get behind is Switch 2 and that's because it's the cheapest modern handheld console available at the moment and looking better than products like The Steam Machine ATM. Nintendo is losing money on console sales (around $160/per console as of right now). Apple price hikes in particular are ridiculous because of how "expensive and premium" apple tries to portray themselves as. You literally do end up paying for the name. This is furthered by the fact that their older devices are still being sold used for like $400-600 a piece when you can find Android flagships for as low as $200.
I'm not a ring person I'm not huge on the Aura or Galaxy rings either. My recommendation is get an Apple watch. Those are at least reasonably priced and offer some good features. But that's just me.
