For 800 dollars it's better to buy a Rolex or something like that as it grows in value trough time. These Smartwatches just turn to e-waste really fast. When it's like 4 years and lose support already.

No? Did you even read the citation you wrote? I‘m annoyed that they don’t get major updates anymore but they are just watches, they can be continued to be used and paired even with newer iOS versions. I know enough people who still use the Series 3 today.

Apple used to be 10x more scammy in 2010s when it lost a lot of the rational market. Idk why you would buy a mac with a chinese mobile OS on a 9800x3d but there's a market for that and whatever happens to that market has no bearing on me.

for those mentioning the Galaxy Watch 4, please stop.
that device was a regression in all aspects compared to the Watch 3. Performance, battery life, sensor accuracy, anything you can think of was worst in the name of "apps".
Even nowadays, battery life is not better. Sure, it got updates, but its not like wearOS got any better, if anything, just lipstick on a pig.
People pretending the Watch 4 was perfect are just suffering from Stockholm syndrome. It took Samsung until the Watch 7 to finally get back on track to what they had before, at least in battery life terms.

At least Apple knows this and is gonna provide security updates for a while more, unlike previous watchOSes.
Well, that'll make Series 6 last even longer. Who would've thought a watch that looks the same as 5 externally lasts for perhaps 3-4 more years longer?

... moreBudget product users are already screwed with updates for a long time now and Apple users love to look down on them an proceed to shove their long update superiority.
The blowback is expected and hopefully acts as a wake up call for them but I am sure that won't be the case.

Amidst a plethora of interesting features that could be added or much improved…
My experience with Apple Watch:
Once I attempted to stream music straight from the watch to Bluetooth headphones. It’s awesome, it works just too easily, but something was clearly off: audio quality. After researching found it could only play at depressing low quality even if the music was download previously.
Wearing it under anything with sleeves on it lead it to activate and do things at random unless you keep it manually locked and leave it so.
The only thing I like to do with it is paying through Apple Pay.

if you're happy seeing premium users get scammed dont be surprised when they do the same, actually even WORSE for more budget users. Soon other companies will follow suit cus everyone likes to follow apple's business moves.

My Samsung galaxy watch classic 4 from 2021 has received major updates for years until 2025. Launch price was half of the apple watch ultra. It got all features as long as sensor supported it.

Why couldn't Apple just release updates which didn't include AI for the older watches? Although unlike Google with their watches Apple are still releasing security updates so there 3 year old watches aren't effectively obsolete.
