Anonymous, 16 Jun 2026I.. don't get the point of that phone?
The battery is still the same uncompetriive 5,0... moreAppeals to these groups of people;
>Citizens knowing they live in a draconian government where you can't say anything negative about the mass importation of third worlders.
>Businesses/NGOs looking to waste money buying and giving these phones out to third worlders to help them avoid deportation.
>Third worlders currently engaging in illicit activities.
The jokes write themselves
Anonymous, 16 Jun 2026I.. don't get the point of that phone? The battery is still the same uncompetriive 5,0... moreSo.. it's ram is decent and it's at least 5.5k mah..but the storage is slow.. even if you don't care about SoC it's a 6nm dog shit D7100, speakers look awful and it's charging speed seems to be bad. Not to mention all plastic and relatively low DPI. All for the low low price of... 500€..?
Txindoki, 16 Jun 2026Jolla Phone 2026 has over 13500 pre-orders; here's whyI.. don't get the point of that phone?
The battery is still the same uncompetriive 5,000mah and almost guarantee not sourced in Europe.
Chip is pretty bleh and again not from Europe.
Screen is really meh and again not sourced from Europe.
Mobo and ram meh and not sourced from europem
Camera most definitely is not sourced from Europe.
And their whole gimmick is "EU!!! EU MADE! SUPPORT EU BROTHERS!!1" when it's a mediocre slop phone with Chinese parts, mascarading as an eu phone with a mark up in price.
Is it the Linux os that's appealing to people?
Life living in the EU when it comes to buying phones:
- Half the size batteries
- Ho call recording at all
- Google apps set as default mandatory apps unless you buy a Samsung. Lucky Samsung has their own dialer. Other brands do too but anything shipped in the EU has Google dialer as default except for Samsung.
