Anonymous, 09 Jun 2026I think ios 27 will be last update for many of iphone devices that have 4 ram.Yeah bro! All these limitations of supporting devices are due to the stupid AI which is forcing phones to have a minimum amount of RAM. So far Apple had shielded itself. Next year as AI becomes a norm for Apple, I won't be surprised of the OS updates starts from 15 series only.

Go play with your older Android device that never get new Android version update. Ohh, don't talk about custom ROM, you people like to brag about it π
iOS users bragging about long software support (which has always been half-baked on older devices in real life) are nowhere to be found
Itβs so crazy that apple is providing major software update to devices as old as 8 years and that too not just the pro version but the regular version as well. This is the same year Samsung S10+ and Pixel 4XL came out.
With the new CPU scheduler support that makes the old devices faster, it will be so cool for those who are still sticking to this legendary hardware.

ashrobb, 09 Jun 2026Impressive to see the iPhone 11 being supported for this long.Yup I could hardly believe that iPhone 11-lineup was the first to receive 7 major updates in total. More than just surprising.

"However, certain Apple Intelligence features, including some of the new Siri AI capabilities, will be limited to only three iPhone models (iPhone Air, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max due to the 12 GB RAM requirement)".
