If you don't like Switch 2 don't buy one it's literally as simple as that. Complaining isn't going to change game prices or anything and these people make more than enough money to be complaining about a $450 console. They're just upset probably because they aren't good at any of the games or something ridiculous.

It's the cheapest newest console with amazing specs! Obviously there's better more expensive handhelds but those don't mix in with consoles and anything better is $500+.

But if you mean handheld mode, the GPU performance is comparable, but the Nintendo Switch has much more RAM and supports DLSS. In TV mode, there's no comparison. At the current price, the Nintendo Switch 2 is a bargain.

There are no other 3+ TFLOPS portable gaming devices with 12 GB of RAM that come with wireless detachable controllers and a dock that sell for $449.99 or less. They don't matter, though, as the Nintendo Switch 2 is the fastest-selling console in history.

I once had a gaming laptop, it died in 2 years because cooling was very limited. I hear modern laptops do better in terms of cooling but they're still far inferior compared to PCs in terms of performance/price and cooling/noise. Me, I've been using a PC since my "gaming" laptop died. Tried switch, it was meh, 20-30 fps is not my thing. Currently using legion go on vacations, its more portable than a laptop.

Here's a way cooler idea: make a tempered glass version. At least a few sides that have no holes can be made of tempered glass, the rest can be plastic. Would at least make more sense for the box. Transparent plastic is meh. Although I'd much prefer Forza Horizon themed box instead of glass. Or a more powerful version with better cooling, even if its a bigger box.

Leanzazzy, 09 Jun 2026I've played all the PlayStation exclusives & the last console I had was a PlayStation... moreThe reason I got a switch 2 even though I have 2 PCs that run 5060s (Nothing special but still more then good enough for my gaming needs) is because I can run triple A titles on the go Switch 2 literally fits into my pocket. Not only that but I like access to the Nintendo titles which is something The Steam Deck nor any of the other handhelds like the ROG Ally have. To me if I'm going to play a game or see something I like I'll spend the $80 on it they could be charging $160 per game but they arebt and I'm not going to complain lol. Yeah it stinks they're so expensive but if you're not going to set aside small amounts of money until you have enough you don't really want it then. That's just facts for anyone who says that's not true and works a job. If you are making money even $5/wk and you'll eventually have enough.
But yes between Xbox and PS they're pointless consoles over a PC now because they sold out for money since they're so Greedy. I had people complaining to me (they make $60k a year) that they'll never support Nintendo and what they're not doing is right and "stick it to them their pricing is ridiculous" but if you honestly LOOK at it; you're cramming a PS4 into a slab less than 1/3 the size of the original PS4; innovation costs. And for the price of a $600 Xbox series X as of now if you get the base $450 Switch 2 you could get at least 2 $80 switch titles and soon when it goes up to $500 at least one good $80 title. Xbox ain't doing much better and then their games are still $50/60 too but look at Wii everyone is selling games for $30-50 for a 20 year old console I dont get the complaining and hate.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2026does not matter when u dont hold all exclusive games like sony or nintendo.Sony is dropping exclusives to Steam almost as badly as Xbox is now. Nintendo is the ONLY company who still holds all of their exclusives-and no redesigned games for mobile by Nintendo do not count. Switch 2 is definitely worth the price even more so then the now $700 Steam Deck.

Sad. I could make a far more powerful PC slightly larger with the same translucent case. It's crazy to me people complained about Switch 2 pricing and that was 2025 meanwhile PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are being sold at $6-700 and are 6 years old; less flexible; and the Xbox doesn't even have DLSS like Switch 2 does. But you have your fanboys for everything I suppose. Let's just hope the scalpers don't ruin it for everybody...
