so found the price isn't rm899 (224$), thats with a rm300 discount going on. real msrp is rm1,199 (298$) which is DIABOLICAL for even a 4g phone with g81, theres loads of better 5g phones at the same price. honor what are you doing???

Clearly, a 7500mAh battery isn't that expensive right now. I assume an "empty" phone like this can get a bigger in dimensions battery and it has more energy overall but lower density. Small Xiaomi 17 has 7000mAh, 17 Ultra has 6000mAh, kinda weird.
I guess the Ultra camera phones really don't have a lot of space for a battery, but then again, it's nothing new.

That should be obvious. I think people buying Ultras change the phone sooner and can damage the battery faster. They don't want to hold on to it for as long as possible. Best specs possible is most important.

Jemek, 03 Jun 2026I don't get it how Chinese brands don't understand releasing e-waste like this just ... moreChinese brands are on a rat race nowadays to see how low they can drop their standards by castrating their existing lineup of devices while making their devices make lesser sense taking their nomenclature to account, so that they can push those e-waste through pushy salespeople and gullible customers.

Even worse, my parents' Nokia C32 phones have better specifications overall, and I'm not even joking. That model costed me roughly USD60 per unit for them, whereas even HMD's best option available currently (Skyline) is still cheaper than a half of this phone's asking price brand new with better specifications in all aspects.

midrangers are supposed to be specced with mid-tier hardware to cut the costs. why do they use bigger than their flagship batteries in a midranger? actually, they can give even better battery life than a flagship even with a smaller battery.

And back then we were complaining about Snapdragon 695 everywhere, which at least has A78 cores. We didn't know how bad it would get.

For 220 € you have far better phones. This is literally Honor X5c Plus with 6 gb ram and 2k more battery. The x5c is 70€ btw.

I don't get it how Chinese brands don't understand releasing e-waste like this just destroys their reputation as a brand. People buying Iphones know that whatever phone they pick, it's gonna work good enough. Here you have to know specs, so automatically most of the planet doesn't want a brand like this, they get it because it's cheaper, but dream of an Iphone, NOT more expensive Honor, cuz they already had it and it's bad. Simple as.
