Beautiful watch! I still wear Huawei GT2e as the slimmest there was and still is - the most visually pleasing feature of watches to my eyes.
Well, finally I see a viable upgrade!
Good job Xiaomi!

sleep tracking validation is fundamentally different from heart rate validation. heart rate has a clear measurable physiological ground truth. sleep staging does not. sleep architecture varies enormously between individuals, and a single subject comparison between two consumer wearables tells you basically nothing meaningful about accuracy. n=1, no polysomnography baseline, no demographic diversity... that's not validation at all lol that's just a dudes single anecdote. the quantified scientist does good rigourous tests overall but his sleep accuracy conclusions carry basically no statistical weight at all (not throwing shade this is literlaly what science is). please don't present consumer device cross-comparisons as evidence of sleep tracking accuracy if you don't actually understand what controlled validation requires.

See The Quantified Scientist tests on y... morelol that is outdated info. even the extremely cheap mi band 10 is outperforming vast majority of garmin watched BASED ON THE QUANTIFIED SCIENTIST'S OWN RESULTS. Dude, u are so behind the times man its not even funny
super curious about the battery life of the LTE model. I want one for walks where i don't want to have phone with me but for emergency needs i would like to have a smart watch with sim.
or, get yourself one of these and pair it with a fitbit air, or possibly amazfit helio strap

See The Quantified Scientist tests on y... moreI don't disagree about the sensor or the recommendation to get another brand if interested in health/fitness features. That said, this is a smartwatch not a fitness band. Smart features should be the focus. It's not a Garmin, Fitbit or even a Xiaomi band etc. Health and fitness metrics from smartwatchs should be taken with a grain of salt and shouldn't be depended on by anyone with a serious health condition or a serious athlete.
Xiaomi HR and sleep tracking are pretty much useless. See The Quantified Scientist tests on youtube.
If you want more than just notifications, get a real smartwatch with sensors that are actually accurate. Xiaomi is not.
