NeonHD, 9 hours agoPut a rugged case on and every phone will last forever.I won't fully believe it, especially after my previous phone got broke despite already having a rugged case on it.
If Xiaomi put USB3 with wired video output support on these two phones, it can easily be a great legit pocket PC since the newer Dimensity chips supports Android 16's Linux Terminal feature, especially 9400 and 9500. It's a real missed opportunity right there.

This phone configuration only costs about 300 euros in China
are these pools even worth the time pooling? i mean, the huge mass of human will just grab whatever shiny new things appear. i doubt even for gsm reader, the pool represent a fraction of miniscule readers. also id rather get 15u from last year despite smaller batt (i could easily get cn version) and 8gE
At €750, ya'll are better off buying last year's Xiaomi 15 Ultra that blows both these phones out of the water.

Plus all ads can get disabled, it takes 2 minutes to do it from the app menu and you never have to tweak anything else ever.
The 17T is literally a Poco X8 Pro with the only reason to exist for literally double the price being better cameras. Everything else is exactly the same (optical reader fo 750€? Really?) or worse (15 minute charge rate is 5:21 which is bordering on Sony / Pixel territory and slower than the much memed iPhones, though in Europe where you don't get the special sauce charger in the box they'll probably perform similar) than that phone. It's also in the 'liked by nobody' size where it's too big to be a small (or as close as 6.3 inches gets to 'small') phone and too small to be a big phone at that price point. It's one of those phones that feel like they're made for nobody. For that price difference you could get the X8 Pro (even the Pro Max) and a better camera for what you're saving if you care.
The 17T Pro is somehow even more confusing. The screen there's nothing wrong with, the battery life is very good, charging rate is very strong (9:06 from 15 minutes is a very strong result)... but all of that's also true of the OnePlus 15, which is around the same price, charges even faster (over 10 hours from 15 minutes) and has an ultrasonic fingerprint reader so it might actually work. Only thing going for this is the slightly better main camera.
Overall they both... just exist at this price, the Pro is better but I can't recommend either of them.

Carlos Amigo , 31 May 2026Xiaomi 12T pro was the last good 'T-series' phone to release.14T Pro is a banger. Loved it despite preffering small and light phones
Poco x8 pro same phone as 17t but with weaker camera and is more than 50% cheaper
Until June 30 I can buy Xiaomi 17T Pro 12GB/512GB for 799,99 euros or the version 12G/1T for 899.99 euros. I don't know if the 1T version it's worth 100 euros more!
The "base" 17 if it weren't for not having the Physical Periscope Telephoto.
