Xiaomi Executive, Lu Weibing confirmed their Xiaomi 17 series skipped “16” to align directly with Apple’s iPhone 17 branding. He said the move is about positioning Xiaomi alongside Apple. So, it's no surprise the designs are similar. You can basically fit a Xiaomi 17 case on the iphone.

Like Apple innovation to patent home button under the screen and rounded corners and then start to sue everyone who have had home button under the screen 10 years before Apple even started to make phones

And look, we've already seen it with Xiaomi and Huawei. I think Apple should have taken more inspiration from LG's foldable phone design that never saw the light of day. That was better than what they're trying to do now. But there's still a long way to go; we'll see what Apple comes up with. What is certain is that they'll revolutionize the market again, just like they did with the iPhone X.

Xiaomi's premium mobile market share is a fraction of Apple so it was far easier to mimic the iphone 17 in a short period of time. This alleged leak sounds like it will be a more complicated phone so Xiaomi will have their work cut out for them if they plan on using this as inspiration for their premium phones next year.
Not sure I'm buying this leak, but it makes sense Apple would do something special for their 20th anniversary. I'm just not sure what Chinese manufacturers can do to stand out. They've already been pushing specs to the limit.

z 20 even as far back as 2015 and that s just in brief
