Seemingly that's what made Apple decide to finally produce a Foldable with Samsung providing the panel for it. If it's good enough for Apple, it should be pretty damn good in general I'd say. Doesn't excuse any of the other poor decisions, the Fold tends to at least get some upgrades just like the Ultra, but the Flip is basically the same year after year, without dropping the price which would be the next most wanted thing for those using these phones I'd say, even with pretty much unchanged specs

unlike the fold market, the flip market is completely dead basically.

Crease won't go away, but it's significantly better managed.
Go run your hands over the crease of a regular foldable, and then run your hands over the crease of an Oppo N6, you'll notice the difference.

You have a choice of all sorts
Matte, glossy, soft, hard. I got some semi matte ones on my ZFlip. Takes out a bit is the reflections but they don't make the display look dull.

Samsung showed us their creaseless display two years ago. Hopefully they've been refining the design so it can remain creaseless over a long period.
Strangely enough, I had to pull the SP off my Z6 recently because it was bubbling. The crease is much less visible now. Even under bright lights when I'm on the train. My train rides is where the crease stood out the most.
Samsung could likely minimize the visibility by using a non-reflective SP.

How do you convince consumers to switch to a Flip and spend 1100 euros or more when the changes are so miniscule?! If you don't think the Flip 7 was good enough then the Flip 8 does nothing to persuade you. Try harder Sammy.

They're not upgrading the phones with the best chipsets, battery, charging nor cameras. At least bump down the price. That way it'd be an excellent phone.
such high pricing for a stagnant product with a lower tier chipset is just not it and is an excellent example of samsung's greed, and everything that is wrong with modern samsung phones.
Crease free display could make it worth the price but still, too little too late and maybe it wont actually be creaseless and we've been hearing that for a decade or sumn.
