Basically, it's a refresh of a refresh, knowing that the processor before the refresh of the refresh was already very close overall and even better in some aspects... Hats off to MediaTek, hats off.
7% performance uplift in dnn tasks....
So its the same chip with even the npu being barely an overclock? Wow
Dimensity 7450 and 7450x:Is a refresh of the Dimensity 7400
Meanwhile the Dimensity 7400:Is a refresh of the Dimensity 7300
MakeMotoBetterAgain, 27 Apr 2026we are never getting a non a78/a55 on a D7XX device aren't we? πOlder 7200 and 7350 used Cortex A715/A510
just make an isolated wifi/networking chip.... even the last one that cant balance the freaking battery is obsolete power recursive..you are overbloating smartphones with misastterfull chips
Dometalican, 27 Apr 2026Motorola's more budget Razr employs these processors but that's about it. Right, i forgot about the brand whose phone I'm currently typing on. I guess compared to other folds or flips it's pretty affordable but not very affordable compared to slab phones. Which i do understand, they gotta make it out of something. If they only provided long enough support for these I'd buy one.

"budget-friendly foldable smartphones" If anybody made them. The Nubia flips exist but they're not available everywhere, i was gonna give more examples but the situation is so dire it's not even possible to do so.

D7200 and D7350 used ARMv9-A CPU cores called Cortex-A510 and Cortex-A715 and had Mali-G610 GPU while D7300 and D7400 used ARMv8.2-A CPU cores called Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A78 and had Mali-615 GPU.
Stupid soc is dumb & useless
7450X is made for foldable... Yes I will wait for somebody to make this in a book style foldable instead of a useless flagship SoC.
Well, at least the name corresponds better to how big the upgrade is.
The Dimensity 7300->7400 one was slightly misleading
They couldn't wait until next chip in Dimensity 7000 series for these "connectivity" upgrades? They had to refresh itβ¦
More processors... God, how I miss when there was only one model for the high-end, one for the mid-range, and another for the entry-level. Both Qualcomm and MediaTek.
Key to money as a soc manufacturer:
Updated naming yet just confusing enough

Make everything faster on paper but real world performance..eh
