Future proofing is something you will never appreciate
All those people who bought a 12gb RAM variant over the 6Gb or 8Gb are now more than happier with their decision, given the context of rising RAM and storage prices.
You sound like those same people who said 720p displays are enough, 4Gb RAM is enough, dual core processors are enough, 30W charging is enough.
Besides, all I'm asking is a 16Gb option.
You can stick to your tiny 8Gb usecase.
People who want to buy 16gb option should be able to buy the 16gb option.

OnePlus is one such brand, where on their Oxygen OS, all the background cut out, translation, etc. is done on the device itself.

For how expensive these are they have no excuse for not having a fingerprint reader, they cost basically nothing.
Limiting RAM to 12Gb is a no-go.
I mean, I can understand them launching the base version with 8Gb RAM and pricing the 12Gb RAM option higher, but not providing that option for 16Gb RAM, especially in the age of AI is mind-boggling.

So, this is basically the pad 3 with new processor and bit more battery. Even the ram capacity is reduced. They could have added the fp, sd card and a cellular version and would have been really an upgrade and should have launched it in August - September this year.
