i don't see any point or value in this kind of thing, then again i basically only play games that work on the 360, i only have 2 games made for my xbox one. i only got that because the one good thing microsoft do/did is backward compatibility.

Gamepass has always been a scam in my opinion. Idk how some people feel happy paying it, considering that you need to buy an Xbox in order to take advantage of it, and in some tiers, you need to pay Live Gold on top of it too.
The games selection is pretty poor too. Mostly FPS from Microsoft, some indie games, some Xbox/360 games by Microsoft, EA crap, Bethesda and some others. And Variety is not its strong point. Most genres get repeated until it gets boring
Sure, you get Capcom games sometimes, but do you really need Resident Evil 1-8 on it? Are you going to play all of them? Maybe you will but is that the main selling point of GamePass? A third party game that goes on sale for like 5$ at time and in bundles on top of that?
Best it has is Forza and Flight Simulator but you are better off buying those instead. And same for any third party game that joins in.
I still think it would be wiser if they gave up a game or two each month like PS Plus does/did.

Keep in mind that aaS (as a Service) and AI is what microslop is continuing to pushing.
They are neck deep in this sunk-cost-fallacy model.
Remember, microslop "promised" that they will make windows better.
But the recent update, microslop only removed the name "co-pilot" in their apps, but AI feature still intact and renamed the AI feature.
The usual scummy corporate "2 steps forward, 1 step back" maneuver.
If Microslop can blatantly lie like that, I remain skeptical.
Especially if the new CEO is an AI hire and a nepotist hire.

Buying what i want and keep forewer especialy when good discount is abest idea no need to pay any subscribtion. Besides work, family etc not many have time tu run games all day and is not healthy too.
If i really something miss are those good old games from 70s, 80s era maybe up to early 90s era. To be best games and best childood.
Modern games are fine and very promising and exciting but old classic nostalgia will remains legendary.
Games such as wolfenstein 3D, Dune 1 and 2, warcraft, heretic, hexen, blood, first quake and doom, games by Apogee software, legend of kyrandia. Old C64, Atari, Amiga games like golden axe, space invaders, Donkey Kong, Pitfall, Predator, Alien, Bruce Lee 1 and 2, Ikari Warriors or Wizard of War etc.
And my most favorite classic Spy vs Spy.
