No headphone jack, phooey. I will miss the ROG phones.
Given that ASUS hasn't made any Android tablet after 2017, I can only assume this is for Windows or ChromeOS. ASUS are still making Windows and Chromebook tablets after all. And given how thin the tablet is, I won't doubt if this might be a flagship-tier Chromebook tablet with MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 SoC. I guess only time will tell.
Anonymous, 22 Apr 2026tablet market is not as squeezed out as smartphone one You're factually incorrectIt's not who has the most players, it is who is the leader. Android tablets, even flagship ones cannot compete with Apple.
Well, this looks pointless. From the sides I can see there's no 3.5mm port (Asus was known for including it on their phones), no fingerprint reader (it's 2026 Asus, f*cking WHY) and probably no SD card either (very useful on a tablet as major streaming apps do usually allow you to download shows to it). It's like they don't even want to be competitive.
Remember, Gamer's Nexus didn't meant to bury the hatchet, Asus' incompetence did.
pl2rts, 22 Apr 2026For 12 inch screen tablet the 9000mAh battery is a joke. W are in a era already where we expe... moreExactly. I was pretty surprised when I saw 9000mah for a 12.2 inch tablet. Most other brands put at least 10,000mah+ for a tablet of this size. Maybe Asus have managed to get very good battery life out of it. Lets see....
we need a compact oled tablet size as well
Asus is extremely jealous of Lenovo’s acquisition of Motorola.
rizki1, 22 Apr 2026Yes, maybe they are trying to at least be cheaper than Samsung OLED tablet also OLED tablet is... moreIf it's not cheaper than Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablets, I don't see who will buy it.
If you need a tablet now and don't want to wait buy oneplus pad 3. Really good tablet with superb performance and long battery life.
12.2 inch is wrong size. That's almost laptop territory. It should have been 9 inch 16:10. With 5G and expandible memory would be hame changer. In this shape and form it's just another tab.
A blast from the past. Huawei was making o led tablet at 510 grams 2 years ago
And honor (their sister company) managed to go down to 460 grams this year.
Basically the only player(s) in this area. Everyone else makes fat tablets like there is no tomorrow (if I want heavy/fat gaming/media machine I buy a laptop thank you very much).
Though 523 grams is still good given what everyone else is doing (or fails to do). Anything above a 1lbr is a mini laptop, still imo, so better to buy a laptop.
A tablet should be trully mobile, the pound mark is the absolute most imo, and in fact even that is high end. There is a reason all phones are about half a pound.
pl2rts, 22 Apr 2026For 12 inch screen tablet the 9000mAh battery is a joke. W are in a era already where we expe... moreI'm expecting them to put a power plant inside tablet.
pl2rts, 22 Apr 2026It will be anyways very expensive cause it's Asus. Like it's phones were expensive w... moreYes, maybe they are trying to at least be cheaper than Samsung OLED tablet also OLED tablet is still rare.
TheEgoIko, 22 Apr 2026Why leave a less profitable market to enter in an even less profitable market?tablet market is not as squeezed out as smartphone one
You're factually incorrect
For 12 inch screen tablet the 9000mAh battery is a joke.
W are in a era already where we expect phones to get 9000mAh
On the tablet size that is like 4 phones i would expect like 20.000mAh battery and it should not get heavier also cause even with the 9000mAh this thing is like over 500g
Phones with like 7500mAh are not heavier then the phones with 5000mAh in a same size phones
rizki1, 22 Apr 2026OLED? means it will be very expensive and niche market. It will be anyways very expensive cause it's Asus. Like it's phones were expensive while still with really short software support
