Lord Bennington, 22 Apr 2026Samsung Defender chips in once again! Since you can't give any, more balanced takes (even if leaning slightly towards one side), then you have no right to comment

Anyways, I have no problems with chips being made by Samsung - as long as the value proposition is right.

Idk why some are thinking about heating. Samsung literally invented a cooling method. Qualcomm must be aiming for that. They may still go to TSMC but also take those cooling system from Samsung along with it.

Must be the vanilla elite gen 6. The gen 6 pro will be tsmc. Just my hunch if this pans out.

Yeah, not ordering for a Qualcomm chip made by Samsung. I remember 888 and 770G like it was yesterday.

This is a bigger deal than you all think. It means that every Chinese brand that orders this chip will subsequently help Samsung undercut them with the Galaxy S27 price-wise.

Mediatek, BOE & Omnivision products are probably going to get more popular because of this shift alone.

Now I’m waiting for Samsung to start manufacturing, selling Si-C batteries to outcompete the usual Chinese supply chains these companies tend to rely on.
