Google purchased a large part of the company back in the days but that was 8 years ago. Companies like Google usually end up laying off most of the staff of the companies they acquire over the years.
And in case you didn't know, Pixel is a complete flop, even Motorola sells more phones globally.
Pixel really only exists in North America and Europe and even then they're dead last.

It's ccrazy that 10-15 years ago Motorola was the first legacy brand to go bankrupt and now they're the only one still around with Samsung.
HTC, LG, Nokia, Sony (soon) are all gone.

Happy announcement: Motorola has just announced that it has changed the Android update policy for the Moto G67 Power. It will now receive the Android 17 update along with four years of security updates. The Moto G67 Power is a wonderful device. You can definitely go for it.

As always, the slots are limited, so you might want to hurry if you want to participate in the Android 17 beta program. You can do so by visiting Motorola's community website and applying there.
Keep in mind that the beta version of the OS isn't stable, so it might be frustrating to use it as a daily driver.

The Motorola G67 Power and G57 Power were released around the same time, and the G67 Power is more expensive than the G57 Power. If they provide the Android 17 update to the G57 Power, they should also update the G67 Power to Android 17. This is truly unfortunate. I am angry and sad.
