According to posts on weibo, Chinese brands are considering about stop making Ultras because costs of Elite Gen6 , LPDDR6 and UFS5.0.
Cam system is only part possible to cut costs , they will not sacrifice this.
They may just make up to Pro ...
T., 16 Apr 2026Talking FR? How do you know around 1.5k EUR?Oppo X9 Ultra price should be 1699€ (as the leak suggest), on the official Oppo website offer you can pay a 49€ deposit to get a 200€ discount coupon for the X9U (that paid deposit will be deducted from final price).
That gets you to ~1500€, and you can get an additional 150€ trade-in bonus, 10% off for students and free camera kit (worth 599€, limited stock) + carbon case.

Objectively, like here, the difference to a normal one there is also worth around 25 €. Rest gets paid by the customer for bragging rights.

Performance will be the same, most of other specs too, the higher screen resolution is worth 10 and the marginally and unnoticeably in real life better camera system 15.

I have strange feeling that only review sites and youtube channels will buy that phone for review... no other sane person would spend 2k or even 1.5 for any phone... Unless they go for brand bragging like Apple, but that is more fashion segment than phone segment...

Knock, say 25%, off from 2000 Euro and you come down to close to 1500 Euro, which is pretty much the baseline price for a 'global version'. Here, as an existing customer of my carrier, I can grab one with just 1300 Euro equiv.
