huawei has changed the second generation design too much for the Pura X. the original Pura X looked more innovative but now this second generation looks like a normal foldable phone but shorter

We need more 18:9 aspect ratio displays in our world. (Such as the original Google Pixel Fold + Oppo Find N)
It was coined “Univisium” because it was developed as a solution to all the different aspect ratios in the world of cinema.

- Televisions & monitors need to make the jump over to 18:9. (Univisum)
- Any screen that is strictly work related should stick to 3:2. (Microsoft-Picked)
- Media/Work hybrid devices should be 16:10. (Golden Ratio)

Lol, pura x max, unlike coming wide folds with 4:3 ratio, apple and samsung, is coming with wider screen just like their non max versuon, 16:10, even better for video, even taller when used vertically.

I had to sell it because the camera stabilization got damaged. But having used Samsung Z Fold series from 5 to 7, Honor magic V3-V5, Huawei Mate X6, Pixel 9 Pro Fold and the original Pixel fold, the original Pixel fold aspect ratio suited me best for both media consumption and ebook reading. Currently using the magic v5 and it's very good for ebook specially with the extensive eye care feature Honor has but it's very ill-suited for media consumption.

Huawei saw the vision and made Pura X which changed the perspective on existing foldable markets. I planned to get one because I narrowly missed the Pura X. 💪

Funny how a foldable with this aspect ratio that was ignored and criticized before by many became a soon to be mainstream one just because Apple will make one. I'm so proud for the original Google Pixel Fold, original Find N, and the MS Surface Duo. Huawei's efforts are very much appreciated too. Too bad they're nerfed by the US. As much as I don't like them because their country is bullying our country, their innovation in the smartphone world is praise-worthy. 👌
I'm enjoying my OG Pixel Fold btw, it's just its weight that is my only gripe. The crease is forgivable. 👌

We already have Huawei, the... moreIt's good but I wait for oppo in particular, their foldables open internet to behemoths. It will prolly not look well when closed, bit who cares, that is a secondary use in those wide foldables, similar as how the flips are mostly meant to be used when opened.

It's really the form factor I'm most looking forward to. We already have Huawei, then Samsung and Apple, which will be offering their 'wide' versions. I imagine they'll be followed by Honor, Oppo, and Vivo fairly quickly.
