Chips seems to have a decent single core boost over d6300 but with a slightly weaker gpu. Ok under $150
Prices are high even in China :(
Couldn't they have at least included a 1/2.75"-type sensor like the JN1?
13MP kinda feels like bottom-of-the-barrel stuff
The damand for low end devices must be huge for manufacturers to keep on releasing them.

They're extremely overpriced because they're meant to be sold by carriers who will run deals on them all the time or something

Still a better soc than google tensor!
I will buy this phone if the price is right. The specs are good enough. 6gb 128 with 6000 battery is more than enough for me.

UNISOC T8300 is basically a Dimensity 6300, but UNISOC instead. MediaTek may have ran out of cheap Dimensities so Xiaomi ran to UNISOC for help.
Their website lists eMMC support though, alongside UFS.
Darth Caesium, 15 Apr 2026UselessEven worse, this is a brazen indicator that this brand wouldn't have a future in catering to emerging markets.
I'm surprised these are 5G phones.

Thanks to the cost pressure, as I predicted, Unisoc will become today's G99/Dimensity 6300, where every OEM will be using them.
These phones have absolutely no purpose in the world other than to take up space.
I don’t get this trend to create useless (and meaningless) phone series every month just to release two or three phones in that series then abandon it.
Pretty sure this « R » series in china will die as fast as it came.
I think this is how a phone brand should organise itself to not generate confusion:
A low-end series
A midrange series
A high-end series
A Gaming and best raw performance for money series
A flip/fold series
That’s it that’s all. Stop creating unnecessary series to trick people.
