Friend of mine still uses Xiaomi redmi 4X.

Honestly wine red is disgusting for me Motorola always had best color spectrum and finnishes for its phones apart Huawei Mate RS 70 and 80 in its dark red and Purple or Mavue like color.
Apple always had boring white, even mopre boring black and gray and thats it. Other colors been also boring except maybe yellow 14.
17 pro and pro max series colors werent better maybe orange but it scratched so easily it turned 2000 eur device into a 200 eur one when comes to quality.

With smartphones, especially the ones from Apple, the lookalike or inspired product is much much better.

HyperOS, if you count copying UI interface.
OR
Honor Magic 8 Pro Air, if you count copying thin and light as a concept.

This boils down to consumer mentality and nothing to do with how good the devices actually are.
There's constantly people making claims how they would never spend INR 70k for an Iqoo or Realme, despite them offering a great product.
Just change the logo on the back of those same Chinese phones to Apple, while offering the same specs and user experience, they'll buy it in an instant.
It's the stuck up user mentality, nothing to do with copying design elements or other things.

So far of all the Chinese brands, only Redmagic has their own unique design not inspired by Apple. Same with nubia's flagship Z line.
If only these Chinese OEMs stayed on becoming unique, which will give them more class and uniqueness before they copy the Apple way, many buyers wouldn't hate them that much.
Copying just makes the whole Android ecosystem look cheap :/
