I thought they are the minority.A shocking amount of very normal people will buy it solely because it's in the hands of literally every single social media influencer, and as Apple doesn't exactly want to lose that mindshare it continues to be for a lot of people the ONLY relevant factor. It doesn't actually matter to them whether they're going to use it or not if they see whoever is trending on whatever platform the brainrot generation use these days fawning over it.

The current dynamic island phones have two cirlces cutout of the display, not a pill shape. The pill shape comes form software, you can enable it on older notch and home button iPhones with jailbreaks. And what every Apple hater here is failing to realize is that the island isn't just for a forward camera, its for the true depth infrared sensor. That is most likely not easy to pass through an oled screen.

Every design is subjective and everyone and their grandma knows Apple is 5 years behind the competition but in their presentation they make non-enthusiast think they invented something new (like promotion).
A phone like Honor 600 lite is looking neat and is cheap. I'm all for not wasting my money on R&D on the back of a phone I don't look at. Remember Redmi 4X copying Iphone? Nothing new. Instead, Honor is pushing big batteries the most and that's a tangible innovation. Too bad phones like Honor Win RT aren't going global.

considering Apple already reaches an all-time low in terms of design and aesthetics, this could only indicate Honor has fallen even lower than Apple, they cannot even find a proper target to mimic.
can you understand this? you may want to check Honor 600/600 Pro's design and promotion materials. I'm also sad for people's basic reading ability has degraded so much

Apple's hideous notch was always 10 years behind. Honor's/Huawei's pill is used the same as back cameras on Samsung phones - cheaper models get the same visuals as more expensive ones, but it has nothing to do with Apple if Apple is supposed to get it with IP18, now does it?
Apple copied POCO's and Pixel's camera islands, is that now also an Apple property?
Apple makes things popular, it doesn't change the original designer.
Just sad how people feel confident in their ignorance.

It have same cutout, one 50mp front camera, LED, and proximity and light sensor. All in same sised punch hole like iPhone 18 Pro. If they want something better, they need to put front camera and all sensors under display, like Nubia, or even ZTE Axon 40 Ultra from 2022. This is just meh.. At least for the price Apple is asking for their phones.
