Also, a company on OnePlus level would want you to buy everything they make. OnePlus has a unique place in the current Android space, as being the lesser evil of Chinese Android smartphone brands. They're not lagging behind hardware spec/software race even though they've become "boring" right now whereas Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi are making it exciting by making camera-focused flagship smartphones.

jinxthesloth, 27 Mar 2026Omg, so many people seem to want OnePlus just gone. This air is infectious. If anything 1+ themselves want it more than their customers. Who wants to buy a product of which manufacturer doesn't give a dam, no effort, no innovation, which they founded their company on with affordable flagship killers, then they kept narrowing the gap between flagships till they reached the same specs and price point, till they lost their original audience. They tried to then shift their strategy to being flagship orientated company, but after some time started giving worse specs and designs for the same amount of money. Typical IT market strategy, introduce free tier to bait people in, worsen the service to push customer into more expensive tier with features he needs, introduce more expensive tiers, so it would be just good enough that they wouldn't leave

Dang, it said a lot. OnePlus being reduced to selling just budget and midrange stuff as Oppo being the main star of the show leaves a sour taste. Hopefully, it doesn't come to that but… -_-''

D8500 / SD 8s Gen 4 would mean LPDDR5X-9600 RAM which is more expensive than LPDRR5X-8533 RAM which both D8300/D8400 use. Also, personally don't wanna see SD 8s Gen 4 in OnePlus Nord 6 because it heats up fast… Qualcomm fumbled with that chipset. But it will happen because it's inevitable. :)

I just mentioned Dimensity 7360 because Vivo seems to love it.
jinxthesloth, 27 Mar 2026I meant for CE6 Lite, forgot to clarify that.I would be fine with the Dimensity 7360 in the Nord CE6 Lite, yes; anything more modern than the creaking Snapdragon 695 (or its newer counterpart in the 6s Gen 3). In fact, this feels like a good choice for the Nord CE6 Lite if it was cheaper than the CMF Phone 2 Pro.

jinxthesloth, 27 Mar 2026What if it gets Dimensity 7360? Would you allow it?It's still worse, worse even than the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. We need to see at least the Dimensity 8400 in here, if not the 8450 or 8500. Though the Dimensity 8500 would outpace the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, so that may pose a problem for the more expensive OnePlus Nord 6 (so why not use the Dimensity 8500 in the Nord 6, which would provide more performance per unit currency than the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4?).
jinxthesloth, 27 Mar 2026Omg, so many people seem to want OnePlus just gone. This air is infectious. We, or at the very least I really don't want OnePlus gone, the only one that really wants them to disappear is Oppo themselves.

The Nord CE6 better not be a Turbo 6V because going from the Dimensity 8350 to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 would be a downer. And if the Nord CE6 Lite gets the Snapdragon 695 (or the 6s Gen 3, or the Dimensity 6300/6400), I will lose my mind. Literally.
and here comes op leaving all markets with a steel chair
Is it going to be some massive tablet like all the other phones or will it go back to the original iPhone roots of ergonomics? A 4GS sized phone with the screen filling that visual plane would have been surely the goal of the old Jobs' Apple, why has it been left on the table by everyone else for years? Is it a patient thing?
