Anonymous, 25 Mar 2026H got banned because it was giving tough fight for the top spot. The only reason Samsung is no... moreSamsung is there because Samsung is better than Google and Apple. And there is no competition. But I believe Apple and Google will go beyond Samsung in next five years, if Samsung exists by then. There is no way, Samsung can hold themselves against Chinese tech and phones.

EU and South East Asia should be test bed for US. If they succeed here, then nothing can stop them in succeeding in US. Just don't offer Mmwave and keep costs low.

Since next year, they will do lot of cost cutting in display and processor and still will be making huge money. Look at the pricing of A57, close to S25 FE. Who will buy?

It's a natural consequence of the "improvements" they made to the OP15. A worse screen, worse haptics, worse speakers, worse cameras. Looks like their clients are smart enough to realize when their being ripped off. I'm still extremely upset though. If not for OP, I have no idea which flagship to buy going forward. Definitely not Samsung/Xiaomi/Huawei/Honor - all of which have pretty disgusting ROMs.
Do we even have any company in the same ballpark? I mean a ROM similar to that of the Google Pixel, with minimal bloatware, the best Qualcomm SoC and decent cameras.

The only reason Samsung is not banned by us because it has no ambitions to take the top spot. Samsung make more money selling parts to others (especially apple) than would've made by being no. 1.
I am wondering if this could indicate Oppo trying to enter the US Market considering OnePlus is few of Chinese makers competing in USA and it is a sub brand of Oppo since the beginning.
They are scalling back. In some markets like India, they will scale back to only sell mid to low end devices. They might not be shutting down completely, but the writings are on the wall.
So OnePlus finally becomes Nothing!
I was hoping for a wider global release of the Oneplus 15T, not just in India but now it seems it probably won't make it to India either.
Other sites have reported that not only will OP be shutting down operations in most regions in April, but staff have been informed and some have been offered severance packages. Liu leaving further supports that.

Outside China, only Samsung and Apple can sell significant amount of phones above $700. Not even H before the ban could that much.
Unless someone is tech geek, who would pay like €1000 on phone from brand that only makes phones?
DroitwichGas, 24 Mar 2026Why, what will a typical smartphone user gain by OP's demise?Nothing physically but emotionally?
What he said just reminded me of this.
"People are as enthusiastic about the birth of a hero as they are of a hero falling."
I hope Oneplus figures it out and if not then maybe Oppo decides to just merge the company with themselves.
