That's because they'll skip the 19 and do a XX, exactly like last time

RSS, 12 Mar 2026Didn´t Huawei launch a tri fold already? Why not go for it? It's not available.
There were a limited number of them released.

The ones available through resellers are way too expensive (going upto €5000).
Besides, Huawei is stuck on that 7nm chip.

Anton the. Papi, 11 Mar 2026There's not much left to innovate in phones; it's just a matter of tweaking things h... moreCamera advancements have become pretty boring (and are mostly in software now, vs hardware specs), but screen tech is still constantly improving. People seem to be critical of the S26U screen (haven't gotten a chance to demo yet, so I can't say if it's good or bad yet) but it's great that Samsung is trying something new. And who can forget all the different formats of folding phones we have now? Meanwhile, Apple never introduces anything brand new. Even their anti-consumer non-features are copied from Android OEMs.

Clearly you have me confused with someone else.

Decent Android? Lol I'm already using the most cutting-edge device, A foldable.

Nothing Phone? Lol, I'd consider them if they launch a Tri-Fold since that's what I'm hunting for.
                      Don't want the Samsung Tri-Fold.

Will wait for Chinese brands to launch one.

New iPhones only excite me for the next Macbook Neo. A19 Pro will bring 12GB RAM, and A20 Pro will bring 2nm. In just 3 generation. That's quite a feat for an entry level Apple product

Rather than upgrade it will be s... moreThe obvious drawback is less sales but, at least for Iphones, aren't they selling pretty well regardless? Releasing a new phone has to cost more than to produce more of last years and I think people, not tech-oriented, just buy a new Iphone when the old one doesn't work good enough. Less sales from the funboys "upgrading" every year but when you know the next new phone will be in 2 years, it's more of a initiative to buy now, instead of thinking "This phone can still do one more year".

Under-display tech is hard. Look at ZTE and their under-display cameras. My guess is Apple is still working on theirs.

Longer buying cycles. And Apple always get away with tiny upgrades.
