Samsung's reason for making the Exynos wearable SoC is to reduce its dependence on Qualcomm SoCs. Since the successor to the Exynos W1000, built on the 3nm process, isn't available yet, they chose the Snapdragon Wear Elite SoC, which uses 3nm.
Why Samsung using this instead of their own Exynos though. But at least hoping Moto 360 successor from Motorola

Don't expect this to bring any battery improvements at all for Samsung's wearables but in a long run this will be a good thing as Google and Samsung will optimize everything for one soc only.

LosEstupido, 04 Mar 2026genuinely hilarious how literal smartwatch SoCs are getting actual updates... meanwhile smart ... morePeople keep their TVs for DECADES; they are probably the oldest "tech" that you will ever own apart from your car(which will be even older and weaker) whereas computers, laptops, tablets, smart watches/fitness trackers, earbuds/headphones and finally phones are all increasingly short-lived and change very quickly. Phones and headphones in particular are extremely high volume and move millions of units, so are probably the major money-maker for most companies.
So it makes sense that phones and laptops receive extremely quick and modern upgrades whereas TVs and cars are the lowest priority because they barely move any volume. There's no point in pushing out software updates to TVs and cars because their hardware is so weak it probably couldn't even support it.
I'm genuinely impressed by how powerful this SoC seems to be. I've no idea why a smartwatch even needs so much power(would prefer improvements in battery capacity and longevity) but a win is a win.

Make something of a 7400 Ultimate for TVs with Wifi 6/6e, latest Bluetooth, Ethernet 10/100/1000, and running Android that can get at least 5 years of updates? Doesn't have to be pricey.

I genuinely find it so funny how the a Watch half the size of my small hands with its puny Exynos W1000 can literally do more than and outperform alot of smart tvs i've tested, which have quad core low end 2015 mobile SoCs inside of them most of the time; Keep in mind, Exynos W1000 is a Arm64 SoC crippled by Android's Software being Arm32. hell even the most expensive TVs can barely outperform any Current Snapdragon 6 Series SoC. ik it's for power efficiency, but i feel that's part of the reason why tvs are underpowered, the other part is assumingly hardware costs, it prolly went to the huge ahh displays.
ntm, Watches barely have any ads in them, meanwhile TVs are literal billboards in your house, therefore use up a crap ton more resources than the average watch.
