Considering how they priced Nothing Phone 3, probably nothing of value is lost.

Sorry if my tone sounds blunt

This is what I mean. The glyph crap doesn't matter to me, and neither does basically anything else but the features I actually use. I want to be able to plug in my headphones, I want to avoid paying for cloud storage, and I want affordability. As much as people complain about the price of Sony phones, a 1 VII + a 2TB sd card will always be cheaper than an iPhone 17 pro max 2TB. The math ain't mathing on internal storage and it never has when 90% of what I use storage for is not speed-critical.
I'm still sooo impressed by my 3(a) Pro! The speed is absolutely ok (not something I dive into), and the CAMERA - it's a true wow experience for me. If the camera is even better on the 4(a) Pro I'm probably sold :)

justasmile, 29 Jan 2026Rumours are pointing to an 8s Gen 3 for 4a Pro, so yes a flagship experience Not the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 level outdated SoC... The performance is a lot behind, shouldve atleast used 8s Gen 4

And don't even bring tensor into the conversation, that is an entry level chip.
Tranquillow, 30 Jan 2026Nothing hasn't ever released a flagship. The 8sgen 4 is more powerful than the 8gen 3 of last year , so it's definitely a flagship device, it's even more powerful than the current pixel tensor chips, so by your statement the pixel isn't a flagship also
"snapdragon 7+ gen 4" soc does not exist, the phone is rumored to feature incrementally better 7s gen 4 or 7 gen 4 at best.
Flagship experience? You mean it's overpriced and boated with features and software I don't want and will depreciate faster than a custom painted RV? Got it.

"Glyphs and quirky interfaces aren't exciting, reliable hardware and software is."
Glyphs are meant to be a way to be aware of notifications and progresses without turning your phone. They can be exciting at first, but also functional too. Software is still pretty good, mini bloat aside.
I had a Nothing Phone 2; I still managed to find a use case for the glyphs—glyph timer. Too bad, whole phone spoiled on me because I recorded under the warm weather too much for the phone to handle. It was not even 2 years old then.
Furkan, 30 Jan 2026Because Hyper Os is bugs like MiuiYep, but bugs have been present in MIUI for over a decade and it's still being used.
