PS and XBOX is single platform with just one configuration of hardware so it's easy to optimize games to run smooth on them. For windows devices there is Intel cpu and AMD that both have different class of CPU From Celeron to Pentium to i3 to i5 to i7 to i9 and all have like 3 or more different specs. Same with AMD and then come the graphics cards like from Nvidia is 5xxx series then 6xxx series then 7xxx series and 8xxx series. Where all have like 10 different brands who do them. Same with RAM and motherboards brands with all sorts of different specs. Like with screens we have millions of colors out of just Red, Blue and Green. Now think of how many millions of different combinations you can make from computer parts. And then have the game studios make support on all of them with their games.
When the console on release cost you 600 euro and the full year subscription is 120 euro then in 5 yours you spend 1200 euro on a console. You can basically build a good gaming desktop for 1200 euro and it will play all the games for next 10 years. Console dont last you 10 years as they have new generation like every after 7 years or so while all games need to run on that lower end hardware for that 7 years. It makes no sense for console to have same quality as 1200 euro desktop cause they can't make any profit from the console and making one will make them like 600 euro in red. They have like 400 euro worth of hardware in the console to make 200 euro in green as profit.
I use to play a lot of games but now am older and have lost interest so the console is not an alternative for me. I can also hook my desktop to 65 inch tv with just HDMI cable and same with laptop and also can pair them with a bt gamepad to play games like that and be no different then a console. But the type of games i like to play is where keyboard and mouse just have advantage. Like first person shooters i can't even imagine how to play with a gamepad. Like fast aiming and moving on the same time. When someone is behind then do fast 180 degree turn and aim. Quick scope with sniper and so on actions. Long distance shooting where the target is like 1 pixel in size.
Also for work like Exel and the like programs dont need for you to have some expensive computer. For rendering you need to have expensive computer as it needs a serious GPU for that.

Superpower2030, 05 Oct 2025The $10 one looked somewhat ok i guess.The $9.99 plan seems to provide the worst value. I don't know what games are included, but with only about 50 games, it's possible that there are only a few games you want to play.

Aparently, it can get worse.
Xbox is now "testing" Cloud Gaming / Game Pass with Ads.
Something that Ubisoy "tested" and then quickly backtraked after customer backlash.
Looks like, M$ / Xslop is gonna learn this the Ubisoy way.

Glad i dont have stupid xbox console with even more stupid gamepad.
Would never ever swap my gaming laptop for something useless as xbox which comes with a lot less functions cannot be taken with you like a laptop which hav eown screen and does nto do billions of other things.

If you only use your laptop from time to time just to play a game or watch a YT video I think a PS is a better alternative, as it will generally have better results than a laptop in both cases as that's what it's designed for.
Yeah subscription is kinda a$$ but not all that expensive, plus I don't have to ever clean the fans or ever replace the thermal paste so I think it's overall better... that's just my opinion tho, as I had a gaming laptop before this and it had generally lower performance compared to the PS - it had a hard time running something like Sekiro while the PS had no problem doing it smoothly and I think it offers a overall better gaming and streaming experience than that laptop

There are likely to be continuous price increases for a lot of things, Microsoft just isn't delaying theirs. It's simple.. if this subscription service stops being worthwhile then many people will unsubscribe and Microsoft will need to adjust. We will see if the internet uproar makes a dent..

Never mind that i can buy PS but i cant make account cause my country is not in the supported country list even tough i am in Europe and in EU
Also what type of work are you thinking of doing on a PC that something like 500 euro laptop can't do ? I can get 15.6 inch screen laptop for 500 euro that have Ryzen7 7735U with 16GB DDR5 and 512GB SSD that also have windows 11 home on it.
