XRING may be more power hungry. But Chinese manufacturers have better battery technology to compensate for it. In place of an American or Korean phone's 5000mAh battery, a Chinese phone will keep a 7500mAh battery with a smaller size and weight.

Vegetaholic, 29 May 2025Apple was making still making top notch soc for decades, it was destroying Android for decades... moreApple is no more ahead of Modern Chips , their Current Chips get beaten by High end Android SoCs. Not to mention you cant get a A18 Pro for less than 1000$ but a 8 Elite can easily be gotten for 700$. The Price difference must be factored in too, so in Price to Performance, Android takes the win, true Performance again Android.

Never mind that on android you get flagship chips on a middle class price. Topper end of the middle class price but still.

My 2023 year phone with it's middle class chip that cost me 410 euro got Antutu score like the iPhone 14 Pro Max

Only in last few years Snapdragon overtook them in performance, just slightly. In fact more than 7-6 year old Apple chipset like A12 or A13 still destroys more than a half new midrange Android chips, so what are you talking about here? ๐Ÿ™‚ Apple is very far ahead in chipset race comparing to any modern midrange Android chip ๐Ÿ™‚

Also you can say Nokia death lead to US Dominance in mobile, if Elop didn't happen we could have different Mobile market.

it was never about competition, huawei was suspiciously banned without much explanation and i reckon that the ban had more to do with secret level intelligence that could not be made public than any consumer facing reasons.

well when your a chinese company with no ip copying problems to worry about you can take apart all the soc's from qualcomm and others and rip off the designs all you like, unlike huawei who had to start with older chips they had left over when they got banned hence them only being as good as tensor chips.

If there were no xiaomi someone would have to invent it.

vexus, 25 May 2025 I worry Xiaomi will be sanction due to the nonsense geopolitical. They Won't unless they start selling US tech to terrorists. People keep forgetting about ZTE. Both ZTE and Huawei sold to Iran.
ZTE was banned even though it was not selling well.
Don't need to sell well to get banned. Don't sell US tech to countries with US sanctions.
