This is how Nothing is killing the Phone 3A and the 3A Pro. There is little to no difference between the 3A Pro and the CMF Phone 2 Pro for a gap of ₹12K. The front and telephoto cameras are better, slightly faster charging, slightly better dust protection for the lack of customisation and glyph interface. What are they thinking. No sense of marketting as well as technology. Looking at the CMF Phone 2 Pro, the 3A line-up should have been better. At least a better chipset ( something like the 7+ Gen3), the ultrawide should've been the Sony LYTIA 50MP 1/2.93" , IP68 certification, 5500 mAh SiCo battery with 65W charging, a 1260p panel with higher auto, HBM and HDR brightness levels. That would have made the price gap justifiable.

Camera hardware is good for $280- so is the IP rating and display quality, especially when you consider that the bezels are even, which is luxury that only high end phones usually get. Yeah 3 years of OS upgrades are low, but pretty much no other manufacturer does less than that for budget phones. Charging is definitely slower than ideal, but 33w is much better than the 10 or 15w that we usually get from the budget segment.
The phone is essentially a good all rounder. It doesn't really do anything amazingly, but it doesn't really do anything poorly either. That's especially true when you factor in the software- its very hard to find a phone at this price point that has good software that's smooth and doesn't bog down the instant you start actually using it

I can't seem to find any other phone in this price range giving more than 1080p.
Talking about no future proofing is funny. This comes with 3 yrs of OS update meaning it will get android 18 minimum and more if google released 2 updates each year. This also gives 6yrs of security update. There will also be custom rom and root access like the previous phone. I don't know which phone offers this much updates in this price other than maybe Samsung. All the other phones offer 2yr OS update max and no custom rom support.
The display is really good in the price. Very few phones provide AMOLED and symmetrical bezels in this price.
Speaking of camera, this is not the best but does provide REALLY good photos in good light. You will only face the lack of OIS in low light.
But you are pretty much right about battery and water resistance.

Only 3 updates ,so no future proofing.
Battery low, charging slow.
Screen to body ratio of a 3 year old phone

The chipset is a little lacking, but what other $280 phone has a 10 bit flexible amoled, a 50MP telephoto camera, and also Micro SD expansion?

Overrated pile of cr*p. Ye ye, "but it's $200 and D7300!" (jokes on you, elsewhere it's $250+). The D7300 is the only good thing in this phone. Of course, I don't expect this phone to match other midrangers or higher ends, but you can literally add another $50 and get something more all-rounder than just the chipset and 50MP cameras that look very awful without OIS.
People hype Nothing the same way they hyped the resurgence of Pixel 6 and onwards, cos it's "brand new and cool looking"... Now look at how the same fanboys literally dislike their so beloved Pixel lineup. Same fate will happen with Nothing.
